TOVAGLIA A QUADRI FRA I VINCITORI DEL  PREMIO ANCT

Tovaglia a Quadri, “cena toscana con una storia da raccontare in quattro portate”, è tra i premiati 2024 dell’Associazione Nazionale dei Critici di Teatro (Anct), presieduta da Giulio Baffi. I premi della critica sono stati assegnati dai soci dell’Associazione presenti nelle testate giornalistiche e web in tutta Italia ad attori, registi, spettacoli, pubblicazioni e iniziative che hanno caratterizzato l’attività teatrale della passata stagione. Scritta da Paolo Pennacchini e da Andrea Merendelli, che ne cura anche la regia, e interpretata dagli abitanti della Valtiberina, Tovaglia a Quadri è un evento che registra ogni anno il tutto esaurito e una lunga lista d’attesa.

Una delle caratteristiche salienti della manifestazione è la scrittura drammaturgica legata alla memoria civile della collettività, con storie locali che hanno però un respiro nazionale: dalla chiusura delle attività commerciali a causa dell’incremento dell’e-commercealla crisi della natalità, dall’emigrazione alla svendita dell’acqua pubblica, fino alle recenti ricerche sulle storie di vita e i diari dai manicomi, con un inedito racconto dell’amicizia fra Pasolini e Basaglia.

“Siamo contenti, molto. – affermano gli autori – Tovaglia a Quadri è tante cose insieme: è un panno di cotone tutto toscano che ha le sue radici ad Anghiari, è il “particolare” di una comunità e di un territorio che si apre all’universale, è l’inesauribile voglia di ascoltare e restituire agli altri le storie e suggerire altre possibilità per superare i momenti non facili e il loro ristagno. È il teatro a tavola, finestre e porte che si aprono sul pubblico, cibo e condivisione. Tovaglia a Quadri è una donna cresciuta con noi e che ormai ha 30 anni: 30 estati delle nostre vite sacrificate, mangiate e raccontate con lei. La gioia di questo riconoscimento importante, vogliamo condividerla con chi lavora in scena e dietro le “porte”, con chi non c’è più ma c’è ancora nei nostri cuori. Con chi ci dà ogni anno il sostegno per esserci. “30 anni sopra una Tovaglia”, il futuro è ancora da scrivere e lo scriveremo con una spinta in più, decisiva, data da questo riconoscimento del Premio della Critica, assegnato da ANCT. La cerimonia di consegna dei “Premi della Critica 2024” assegnati annualmente dall’ANCT, l’Associazione Nazionale dei Critici di Teatro, si terrà lunedì 11 novembre, alle ore 17, nel Teatro Verdi di Padova, ospiti del Teatro Stabile del Veneto.
