– Dopo l’intitolazione della Scuola di Imi Nugni a circa 2000 metri sulle montagne dell’Atlante nell’entroterra del Marocco, a Maria Pia Oelker e Luigi Falasconi siamo rimasti ancora un giorno nella Regione di Ait Bououlli. Se è vero che il viaggio è stato impegnativo e anche commovente non foss’altro perché era presente Serena Falasconi Ölker che è figlia, assieme a Giorgio, dei due cari amici a cui è stata intitolata la scuola è anche vero che abbiamo conosciuto una cultura diversa e per certi versi inimmaginabile che, lo dico senza pudore, ci ha cambiati.
Una delle cose che ho notato, è che in queste montagne, ovunque ci si giri, ci sono bambini e ragazzi; bambini che attraversano i fiumi da soli, saltando tra i sassi, nonostante hanno pochi anni di età, bambini che fanno molti chilometri per raggiungere la scuola, ragazzi di tutte le età che ridono, cantano, ti chiedono una penna biro, ti guardano con interesse rappresentando noi una ventata di novità. Bambini che con il loro carico in spalle seguono a piedi i tornanti della strada che sale. Bambini che si affacciano al futuro con tanta voglia di costruire. Condivido qui uno degli scatti che ho fatto dal finestrino dell’auto di Mohamed Ait Benkoum che ci riportava a Marrakech. Lo scatto ritrae principalmente il Collegio, l’edificio più imponente di Ait Bououlli, che è il mezzo con cui molti giovani avranno un’opportunità di riscatto. Del resto – come scritto nella targa del Comune di Sansepolcro il ricordo di Maria Pia e Luigi – “L’istruzione è strumento di crescita culturale e favorisce il dialogo fra i popoli”. I giovani sotto ad uno dei cancelli di ingresso ci guardano incuriositi. Benvenuto futuro
