Mercoledi 20 novembre ricorre il 34° anniversario dall’approvazione da parte dell’Assemblea Generale delle Nazioni Unite della Convenzione sui diritti dell’infanzia e dell’adolescenza. La Convenzione è il trattato sui diritti umani più ratificato al mondo ed è stata determinante nel migliorare la vita di bambini, bambine e adolescenti. Nonostante questo, non è ancora pienamente attuata, conosciuta e compresa. In vista di questo importante appuntamento anche quest’anno l’UNICEF Italia e l’Associazione Nazionale Comuni Italiani – ANCI lanciano l’iniziativa ”Go Blue” invitando tutte le amministrazioni comunali ad illuminare di blu un monumento o un edificio della città per ricordare con un gesto simbolico che per ogni bambino, bambina e adolescente ogni diritto deve essere garantito e attuato. “
L’iniziativa rientra tra le azioni di sensibilizzazione sui diritti dell’infanzia e dell’adolescenza rivolte ai Comuni, previste dal Programma UNICEF Città amiche dei bambini e degli adolescenti”, ha dichiarato l’assessore alle Politiche Sociali, Benedetta Calagreti.
