Un calendario che scandisce la sera del 24 dicembre, illuminato sulla sinistra un Albero di Natale addobbato brilla quasi di luce propria, e sulla destra una tavola imbandita, compongono quello che è l’appartamento di Piero e Sonia. Piero (EMILIANO MORANA), Chef e titolare di un piccolo ma rispettato e ben frequentato ristorantino e sua moglie Sonia (LORENZA GIACOMETTI), insegnante di violino e violoncello presso un’importante scuola di musica, hanno deciso di organizzare a casa loro la cena per il veglione di Natale: la tavolata sarà composta ,oltre che dai padroni di casa, da altre due coppie: le sorelle minori di Sonia e i rispettivi mariti. Veronica (LUISA BELVISO) la mezzana, medico cardiochirurgo al 5 anno di specializzazione e Luigi (GIOVANNI DE ANNA), il marito, brigadiere dei carabinieri ad un passo dalla promozione a maresciallo.
Ed infine Celeste (CARLOTTA SFOLGORI) la più piccola, bravissima fotografa in carriera che vive in Irlanda da 3 anni, esattamente da quando si è separata da Claudio (ANDREA PAPALE), l’ex marito agente immobiliare disoccupato in cerca di un impiego e migliore amico di Piero. Per gli ultimi due la presenza dell’uno e dell’altro sarà una “sorpresa di Natale” . ,La serata sembra più o meno tranquilla, una cena di Natale come le altre, almeno fino a quando la classica tombolata viene sostituita da un vecchio gioco da tavola, trovato da Celeste nello stanzino delle cose vecchie di Sonia: “Il gioco delle verità”. Questo gioco renderà parecchio movimentata la vigilia di Natale dei nostri protagonisti, e qualcosa di soprannaturale sta per accadere… Una black comedy che trasporterà il pubblico in un vero e proprio viaggio di emozioni: si riderà, si piangerà e si avrà paura… Questo grazie al mutamento graduale di tutti e sei i personaggi in scena, che dovranno fare i conti con un qualcosa che sembra soprannaturale ed esoterico.
