AREZZO – Sala Rosa del Comune di Arezzo gremita, sabato 14 dicembre 2024, per l’iniziativa “Screams before silence. Dare voce alle donne che hanno subito violenza” organizzata dall’associazione culturale Art-Eco con la collaborazione di UAII – Unione Associazioni Italia-Israele e il patrocinio del Comune di Arezzo.
Ogni anno Art-Eco organizza ad Arezzo, nel periodo in cui si celebra la “Giornata internazionale per l’eliminazione della violenza contro le donne”, una mostra collettiva di artisti sensibili al tema. L’evento del 2024 è stato più articolato e ha abbracciato anche il tema dell’antisemitismo. Per questo motivo si è scelto di proiettare il docufilm “Screams before silence” della regista israeliana Anat Stalinsky, sostenuto dall’imprenditrice americana Sheryl Sandberg, che testimonia e denuncia le violenze sessuali perpetrate dai militanti di Hamas durante l’attacco contro i civili in vari luoghi di Israele del 7 ottobre 2023.Nel corso del pomeriggio, moderato dal giornalista culturale Marco Botti, è stata inaugurata anche la mostra itinerante dal titolo “7/10 Capsule Exhibition”, in collaborazione con ANU – Museo del Popolo Ebraico di Tel Aviv, nella quale ventitre artisti israeliani hanno rappresentato il loro dolore dopo le terribili stragi dell’autunno 2023, ma hanno offerto anche uno sguardo di speranza e resilienza.“Art-Eco si dedica da anni a organizzare eventi di arte pittorica e presentazioni di libri per sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica sul tema della violenza di genere – osserva la presidente Mariangela Baldi. – L’associazione culturale si propone di riuscire a far capire quanto l’arte possa essere terapeutica e riesca ad aiutare anche nei momenti più neri. Quest’anno abbiamo scelto di porre l’attenzione sulle violenze contro le donne commesse in Israele il 7 ottobre 2023, documentate nel film ‘Screams before silence’ di Anat Stalinsky”. “Il film affronta la tragedia delle violenze sessuali utilizzate come arma bellica, dando voce alle vittime dell’attacco e ad alcuni ostaggi rilasciati dopo 50 giorni di prigionia a Gaza – conferma Celeste Vichi, presidente dell’Unione Associazioni Italia-Israele. – Il documentario include anche le testimonianze di esperti medici e forensi che hanno assistito i sopravvissuti e contribuito all’identificazione dei resti delle vittime”. Assieme a Mariangela Baldi e Celeste Vichi, sono intervenuti anche Lucia Tanti, vicesindaco di Arezzo, Claudio Rubertà, comandante provinciale dell’Arma dei Carabinieri, Alberto Melis, delegato CONI di Arezzo, Raffaello Lucci, pittore e incisore da sempre sensibile ai temi della violenza di genere e dell’antisemitismo. Chiusura affidata a Marco Casucci, vicepresidente del Consiglio Regionale della Toscana.
