Zahra, promettente campionessa di due anni e’ nata e cresciuta a Cerbara, nell’allevamento “Azamour” di azawakh e saluki, di Francesca Zampini con la preziosa ed insostituibile collaborazione di Patrizio Palliani, fra i più importanti “handler” (conduttori) ed esperto di cani e genealogia a livello mondiale. La bellissima Zahra, levriero a pelo lungo o frangiato, ancor giovane di proprietà della signora Agnese della Rocca, Presidente del Club del levriero Afghano in Italia e giudice Enci, ha sbaragliato la concorrenza internazionale. E’ stata presentata magistralmente dalla stessa signora Agnese Della Rocca ed ha conquistato il gradimento dei giudici. Zahra ha una genealogia di tutto rispetto è infatti figlia di Gemini Kingsman, campione americano e di Jellabie, campionessa del mondo. “E’ appena ad inizio carriera espositiva e da lei ci aspettiamo grandi soddisfazioni come il padre campione americano e la madre campionessa mondiale. Per noi è un risultato particolarmente prestigioso perché si dimostra come le qualità di bellezza si esprimono al meglio sia nei ring dove viene valutata la bellezza morfologica che sui terreni dove viene valutata la funzionalità e velocità”, hanno dichiarato, Francesca Zampini e Patrizio Palliani, con un pizzico di emozione e tanta gioia per questo inizio del 2025 che fa ben sperare.  Appena appresa la notizia il sindaco, Luca Secondi e l’assessore allo sport, Riccardo Carletti, nel rivolgere le più sentite congratulazioni alla titolare del prestigioso allevamento e ai diretti collaboratori hanno sottolineato “la portata mondiale di questo risultato storico di assoluto rilievo internazionale che proietta ancora una volta l”immagine della città, dell’allevamento in particolare, in ambito internazionale”. La sorella di Zahra, Azamour Saba, che con la sua proprietaria vive in Francia, e’ stata proclamata campionessa di corsa. Sia gli azawakh che i saluki sono levrieri orientali. Gli azawakh sono i levrieri dei Tuareg, i saluki sono i levrieri persiani (degli sceicchi). I saluki sono la piu’ antica razza di cani di cui si abbia una testimonianza ( si parla di almeno 4000 anni avanti Cristo ). Una coppia di saluki bianchi sono raffigurati sul cocchio da caccia di Tutankamen e visibili al Museo del Cairo. Originari dell’Asia da cui poi si sono diffusi seguendo le migrazioni umane. Gia’ nel 400 erano ben conosciuti a Firenze. Cosimo dei Medici li importò a Firenze assieme a dei cavalli Arabi e se ne fece raffigurare uno nel suo sigillo che è tutt’oggi conservato al museo del Bargello. Illustri maestri del Rinascimento li hanno ritratti e sono tutt’ora visibili in diverse collezioni pubbliche veneziane. Oggi sono allevati in tutto il mondo come animali da compagnia. Normalmente sono sempre stati allevati dalle classi più alte. Per gli sceicchi sono compagni di vita e di caccia.
