 Dopo la diffusione del report di Greenpeace, Nuove Acque ha effettuato nuovi campionamenti dell’acqua con risultati coerenti a quelli degli ultimi quattro anni: Pfas non rilevabili Sono del 27 Gennaio 2025 gli ultimi campionamenti di acqua, erogata dalla rete idrica aretina, svolti da Nuove Acque per verificare l’eventuale presenza di Pfas. Il risultato è coerente con i monitoraggi effettuati che hanno decretato la non rilevabilità di queste sostanze.

Nuove Acque monitora i Pfas, in anticipo rispetto all’entrata in vigore della legge che ne regolamenta le quantità presenti nell’acqua potabile. L’ultimo campionamento d’acqua, con le analisi svolte secondo disciplinare presso laboratori certificati per la ricerca delle sostanze pfas, smentisce il dato “anomalo” presentato da Greenpeace. “Tenuto conto della sensibilità sul tema Pfas, per il 2025 era già stata prevista una campagna di monitoraggio più intensiva – dichiara l’amministratore delegato di Nuove Acque Francesca Menabuoni. Desideriamo tranquillizzare i cittadini sulla sicurezza dell’acqua che eroghiamo, perciò i controlli che abbiamo avviato in anticipo rispetto alle prescrizioni di legge, proseguiranno. Nella massima trasparenza, ci avvaliamo della collaborazione di strutture certificate, lavorando sempre in stretto collegamento con gli enti e le autorità competenti, come il Comune di Arezzo, Arpat, AIT e ASL.”. La campagna di controlli interessa tutti gli acquedotti del territorio gestito da Nuove Acque, oltre trecento in totale. I dati ottenuti con l’avanzamento dei monitoraggi, verranno progressivamente pubblicati nella sezione dedicata alla qualità dell’acqua del sito istituzionale di Nuove Acque, mettendo così i cittadini in grado di consultare autonomamente i dati e le informazioni.  Di tutta la vicenda legata ai Pfas quello che più lascia sbigottiti è la superficialità con la quale sono stati resi pubblici dati non verificati, senza un contraddittorio con il gestore, e che hanno generato una comprensibile preoccupazione nella popolazione – dichiara l’assessore del Comune di Arezzo Marco Sacchetti. “Al riguardo, come Amministrazione abbiamo richiesto un intervento di monitoraggio di Asl sui Pfas quale unico soggetto titolato a stabilire e certificare se vi siano o meno pericoli per la salute pubblica derivanti dalla presunta presenza dei contaminanti in oggetto nella rete idrica del nostro Comune”.
