Dall’Italia a Il Cairo, anche due infermiere dell’Asl Tse per la missione Medevac

Stanotte il volo dell’aeronautica militare è atterrato in Italia, a bordo il team della missione Medevac e 14 bambini e bambine provenienti da Gaza per ricevere assistenza sanitaria negli ospedali italiani
Un volo di speranza e umanità quello che ha riportato in Italia, da Il Cairo, il team della missione Medevac partito martedì da Pisa con il volo dell’Aeronautica militare C-130 per l’evacuazione sanitaria di 14 bambine e bambini provenienti da Gaza e i loro accompagnatori, per un totale di 45 persone. 

La missione Medevac promossa dalla Cross di Pistoia e Regione Toscana ha visto il coinvolgimento del personale  sanitario della Toscana, tra cui due infermiere dell’Asl Toscana sud est: la coordinatrice di missione Azzurra Rosini e Alessia Ciampelli, entrambe in forza alla Centrale di emergenza territoriale di Arezzo. Le due infermiere hanno raccolto l’invito a prendere parte all’operazione internazionale in prossimità di zone di guerra da parte della centrale remota per le operazioni di soccorso sanitario di Pistoia (Cross) insieme al resto del team composto da un medico, un altro infermiere, un tecnico della Cross e volontari e volontarie delle Misericordie, della Croce rossa e dell’Ampas con l’obiettivo di portare in Italia i pazienti di età pediatrica con patologie croniche e traumi per ricevere cure mediche e assistenza sanitaria. I pazienti arrivati in Italia sono atterrati negli aeroporti di Roma e Milano Linate per poi essere accompagnati nei vari ospedali assegnati. 
«È stata un’emozione fortissima, una grande esperienza professionale e umana – sottolinea la coordinatrice di missione, Azzurra Rosini – Abbiamo trovato grande cooperazione nel team e una importante organizzazione che ci ha permesso di svolgere al meglio la nostra missione: portare in Italia i piccoli pazienti per far sì che ricevano le migliori cure possibili. Il giorno prima è partito l’Assessment Team che svolge un ruolo prezioso nell’intercettare e capire le necessità sanitarie dei bambini e delle bambine che arriveranno in Italia, ma ogni persona gioca un ruolo chiave nella gestione dell’evacuazione sanitaria ed è bello vedere come ognuno metta a disposizione dei piccoli pazienti le proprie competenze per regalargli un nuovo futuro». 
«Ciò che non dimenticherò sono gli occhi dei bambini e delle loro madri pieni di gratitudine e di emozione – evidenzia l’infermiera Alessia Ciampelli – una esperienza umana sicuramente intensa, ma anche una grande lezione professionale. Il team opera con un fine comune, portare sollievo a questi bimbi e oltre all’assistenza sanitaria, in particolare per alcuni pazienti, non sono mancati momenti di gioco con i più piccoli durante le ore di volo per tornare in Italia. In loro ho visto la gioia di un nuovo futuro e la resilienza. È stata la mia prima missione, ma sono pronta a ripartire subito».
