Arezzo Scapecchi “Una nuova gestione per rilanciare lo storico circolo”. Con l’open day di questa mattina è stata festeggiata la riapertura dell’impianto sportivo comunale di San Clemente. Nuova gestione e nuovo nome per lo storico circolo di via Vecchia frequentatissimo dai tanti appassionati di tennis.
Il Comune di Arezzo lo scorso dicembre ha assegnato l’impianto alla società sportiva San Clemente Tennis Arezzo che si è impegnata a realizzare interventi per un valore di 433.334,24 euro, interamente a proprio carico, in cambio di una concessione gratuita per 25 anni. L’inizio dei lavori di riqualificazione è previsto nelle prossime settimane. Tra i principali interventi: la realizzazione di due campi da padel e due campi da pickleball, ampliando così l’offerta sportiva oltre al tradizionale tennis; lo spostamento del campo da tennis n. 3 e l’installazione di tre palloni pressostatici per garantire la fruibilità della struttura anche nei mesi invernali; l’adeguamento degli impianti elettrico, termomeccanico e per la produzione di acqua calda sanitaria; l’installazione di lampioni a basso consumo energetico e di un impianto solare termico; l’adeguamento strutturale della palazzina spogliatoi, del bar-ristorante e delle strutture in legno, con interventi per la prevenzione incendi. “Desidero ringraziare la San Clemente Tennis Arezzo asd, che ha deciso di investire risorse importanti per riqualificare e rilanciare lo storico impianto di via Vecchia. Questo intervento non solo migliorerà la qualità della struttura, ma amplierà l’offerta sportiva della città, includendo anche nuove discipline come il padel e il pickleball. Un sentito ringraziamento va anche al Circolo Tennis Arezzo, che ha gestito la struttura per decenni, affrontando con impegno e dedizione anche momenti difficili come quelli legati alla pandemia e all’aumento dei costi energetici”, ha dichiarato l’assessore Federico Scapecchi. “Siamo onorati di aver ricevuto la fiducia del Comune e siamo pronti a lavorare con passione per rendere San Clemente Tennis un punto di riferimento per gli appassionati di sport con la racchetta. Il nostro obiettivo è creare un ambiente accogliente e inclusivo, offrendo opportunità di gioco e formazione a tutti, dai giovani ai più anziani, fino alle persone con disabilità. Ringrazio l’assessore Scapecchi e gli uffici comunali per il supporto ricevuto e tutti coloro che hanno collaborato alla realizzazione di questo progetto, a partire dalla società Rewind e dallo studio Gatteschi. Oltre alla gestione ordinaria dei campi e all’organizzazione di corsi di scuola tennis, Sport Lab Arezzo asd promuoverà progetti di inclusività e attenzione al sociale garantendo l’accesso allo sport a diverse categorie di utenti con iniziative specifiche quali l’adesione al progetto “Tennis in Wheelchair”, promosso dalla Federazione Italiana Tennis e Padel, con attività gratuite per persone con disabilità in determinate fasce orarie, e “Tennis Evergreen”, dedicato agli over 65, anch’esso con attività gratuite in specifici momenti della giornata. Siglato anche un accordo di partenariato con la Fondazione Thevenin per l’organizzazione di corsi gratuiti rivolti alle ospiti dell’istituto” e prevista l’introduzione di tariffe agevolate per utenti a basso reddito, anziani e persone con disabilità.
