Esposto a 36 Procure da parte di ISDE, ADiC, Movimento Consumatori e Medicina Democratica Un gruppo di associazioni impegnate nella tutela della salute e dell’ambiente ha presentato un esposto alla Procura di Arezzo – e successivamente ad altre 35 Procure italiane – per chiedere verifiche sulla possibile contaminazione da PFAS nei presidi antincendio dei Vigili del Fuoco, in particolare durante le esercitazioni con schiumogeni contenenti PFOA (una delle sostanze PFAS)
L’iniziativa nasce anche dalla mobilitazione dei familiari di tre vigili del fuoco del comando di Arezzo, deceduti per glioblastoma in meno di due anni. Le associazioni firmatarie dell’esposto chiedono accertamenti sanitari sui VVF, analisi ambientali nei 36 presidi antincendio italiani e l’avvio di un’indagine epidemiologica nazionale. Nell’esposto si chiede inoltre di verificare se, nonostante il Regolamento europeo 2020/784 che vieta l’uso di PFOA, queste sostanze siano state ancora impiegate in contesti operativi, mettendo a rischio non solo i VVF ma anche la cittadinanza. Le associazioni chiedono infine al Governo una legge nazionale per vietare in modo definitivo l’uso industriale dei PFAS e per avviare bonifiche e ricerca su alternative sicure.
