Il Comune di Sansepolcro si appresta a commemorare l’80° Anniversario della Festa della Liberazione, con un ricco programma di iniziative civili, storiche e culturali che si svolgeranno nella mattinata di giovedì 25 aprile 2025.
Le celebrazioni avranno inizio alle ore 10.30 presso la Sala del Consiglio di Palazzo delle Laudi, con una cerimonia di commemorazione ufficiale, alla presenza delle autorità cittadine e delle associazioni combattentistiche e d’Arma.
A seguire, alle ore 11.00, verrà inaugurata la mostra fotografica “Un cammino democratico: persone e istituzioni a Sansepolcro dal 1944 al 1946”, allestita nel chiostro di Palazzo delle Laudi. La mostra, realizzata in collaborazione con il Museo e Biblioteca della Resistenza, intende valorizzare il patrimonio documentale del Comune e raccontare, attraverso fotografie e testimonianze d’epoca, il percorso di rinascita democratica della città nei primi anni del secondo dopoguerra. Il programma proseguirà alle ore 11.30 con il raduno del corteo in Via Matteotti, che si dirigerà verso il Parco in via XXV Aprile, dove si terrà, come da tradizione, la deposizione di una corona d’alloro in omaggio ai Caduti. Alle ore 12.00, è prevista la conclusione delle celebrazioni con una deposizione commemorativa presso il Monumento ai Caduti di tutte le guerre nella frazione di Santa Fiora. Le celebrazioni saranno accompagnate dall’intervento musicale della Filarmonica dei Perseveranti. L’Amministrazione comunale invita tutta la cittadinanza e le associazioni del territorio a partecipare a questo momento di riflessione e memoria condivisa, per rendere omaggio ai valori della Resistenza, della libertà e della democrazia su cui si fonda la nostra Repubblica.
