Bilancio e prospettive presentati oggi in Prefettura. Fra le idee per implementare il progetto anche una APP Arezzo cuore compie 15 anni. Era il 2010 quando il progetto venne istituito grazie alla sinergia fra Centrale Operativa 118 e Cardiologia ASL, Prefettura di Arezzo, Fondazione Cesalpino e Centro di Formazione Etrusco.
Un progetto che negli anni ha contribuito alla formazione di cittadini, istituzioni, commercianti, sportivi e di tutti coloro che ne hanno fatto richiesta, e grazie al quale hanno appreso le tecniche di rianimazione cardiopolmonare e l’impiego del DAE, il defibrillatore, per salvare una vita.
Una data che è stata ricordata oggi pomeriggio con un evento che si è tenuto alla Prefettura di Arezzo. Presenti il prefetto Clemente Di Nuzzo, il vescovo di Arezzo Andrea Migliavacca, la vicesindaca Lucia Tanti, il direttore generale Asl Tse Marco Torre, la direttrice Sanitaria Asl Tse Barbara Innocenti, Roberta Casini delegata sanità per Anci Toscana, Filippo Vagnoli vicepresidente Conferenza provinciale dei sindaci, Lorenzo Pierazzi dirigente Ufficio Scolastico Provinciale Arezzo, Alfredo Provenza direttore Fondazione “Arezzo Comunità”, Paola Butali Presidente Fondazione “Cesalpino”, Simonpietro Palazzo consigliere provinciale, Vincenzo Ceccarelli consigliere regionale commissione sanità.
Nel 2014 il progetto si amplia e nasce “Arezzo Cuore Scuola” un progetto che, grazie alla collaborazione con l’Educazione Fisica dell’Ufficio Scuola provinciale di Arezzo, coinvolge gli istituti comprensivi e superiori dell’intera provincia di Arezzo (scuole superiori e medie) e dal 2024 anche le scuole elementari. Corsi nei quali si apprendono le modalità per fare un massaggio cardiaco e impiegare il defibrillatore in attesa dell’arrivo del personale sanitario.
Per bambine e bambini delle scuole elementari, invece, il programma prevede l’apprendimento delle prime manovre ma soprattutto a riconoscere i segnali di pericolo: i più piccoli vengono istruiti a chiamare i soccorsi e a rispondere alle domande degli operatori della centrale 118.
Nel 2024 il progetto “Arezzo Cuore” è stato premiato in Senato. Ma il 2024 è anche la nascita delle “Olimpiadi di BLSD a scuola” con la prima edizione che si è tenuta nell’ottobre scorso ad Arezzo e che ha coinvolto studentesse e studenti della provincia.
«È davvero con grande orgoglio e sincera emozione – dichiara il Prefetto di Arezzo Clemente Di Nuzzo – ospitare questo pomeriggio la giornata celebrativa dei 15 anni del progetto “Arezzo Cuore”, che rappresenta una delle espressioni più concrete di prevenzione, solidarietà e attenzione alla salute pubblica. Dietro ogni defibrillatore installato, c’è una visione precisa. Dietro ogni cittadino formato al primo soccorso, c’è una cultura della prevenzione che si radica sempre più nel nostro territorio. “Arezzo Cuore” è la dimostrazione concreta di come una città possa proteggere il cuore dei suoi cittadini, nel senso più pieno e autentico del termine».
«Questo è un progetto importante che permette di salvare la vita a chi è colpito da arresto cardiaco – dichiara Marco Torre, direttore generale ASL TSE -. La sinergia fra istituzioni e associazioni è fondamentale per alimentare un progetto così importante. Fondamentale anche la collaborazione dell’Ufficio Scolastico provinciale grazie al quale questo progetto è riuscito a diffondersi fra gli studenti permettendo loro di apprendere l’importanza di intervenire con tempestività quando si è di fronte ad un arresto cardiaco. E anche imparare sin dalle scuole elementari è importante: l’impiego del defibrillatore non è fra i compiti dei più piccoli ma diffondere fra le bambine e i bambini le regole per riconoscere un arresto cardiaco, e cosa fare per salvare la vita alla persona che hanno di fronte, può tornare molto utile. Imparare sin da piccoli il valore della vita e apprendere i comportamenti da seguire per salvare chi è in difficoltà è importantissimo».
L’obiettivo del progetto Arezzo Cuore è formare quante più persone possibile alla conoscenza di manovre in grado di salvare la vita a chi è colpito da arresto cardiaco, nel tempo che intercorre tra la chiamata al 112 e l’arrivo del mezzo sanitario, grazie al massaggio cardiaco esterno ed all’uso dell’unico strumento in grado di far ripartire il cuore: il defibrillatore.
Il progetto ha permesso di estendere la presenza di defibrillatori in tutta la provincia: sono 1306 quelli attualmente installati in strutture pubbliche e private dell’aretino. I numeri di Arezzo Cuore riferiti ai quindici anni di attività parlano di 433 istruttori, 2718 corsi e 48047 esecutori.
«Per avere una copertura ottimale bisognerebbe arrivare a 4000 DAE su tutto il territorio provinciale individuando i punti che ne sono carenti – spiega Simone Nocentini direttore dell’Area dipartimentale emergenza territoriale 118 ASL Toscana Sud Est – e ad essi dobbiamo aggiungere la realizzazione di una infrastruttura informatica. Abbiamo bisogno di una APP per accedere ai servizio di emergenza 112 capace di censire e fornire informazioni sulla presenza di un DAE prossimo alla persona che sta chiamando il numero di emergenza, fornire tutte quelle informazioni utili, ad esempio, sulla scadenza di piastre e manutenzione dei DAE e aiutarci a censire i cittadini che sono formati all’uso del defibrillatore. È necessario poter contare su un numero sempre maggiore di cittadini informati e formati perché solo così si possono salvare vite e offrire una seconda chance a chi è colpito da arresto cardiaco».
«Sarebbe importante – aggiunge Nocentini – riuscire a raccogliere i fondi necessari con iniziative dedicate anche grazie alla collaborazione delle categorie produttive, istituzioni e associazioni di categoria. Fondi che ci permetterebbero di realizzare la App ma anche acquistare tutti quei materiali utili alla formazione, come i manichini, da destinare alle scuole del territorio».
Durante l’evento sono stati consegnati i riconoscimenti a coloro che hanno contribuito alla nascita del progetto Arezzo Cuore, alla rete dei DAE e alla formazione dei cittadini per il corretto impiego dei defibrillatori: il dr. Massimo Mandò, già direttore Dipartimento Emergenza Urgenza Asl Tse, il dr. Leonardo Bolognese, già direttore del Dipartimento Cardio-neuro-toraco-vascolare, Luciano Falchi presidente Agenzia formativa Etrusco Monte San Savino, e Paola Butali, presidente della Fondazione Cesalpino.
