I controlli proseguiranno per tutto il periodo estivo, compatibilmente con gli altri servizi, al fine di garantire il corretto comportamento degli utenti della strada.

Lo scorso fine settimana pattuglie del comando polizia locale, dietro indicazione del comandante Emanuele Mattei, hanno eseguito continui controlli su direttrice Strada regionale “257 apecchiese” volti a garantire la sicurezza agli utenti della stessa. Nell’attività di controllo gli operatori, muniti di apposita strumentazione, hanno rilevato e contestato numerose violazioni al codice della strada in particolare legate alla velocità di auto e moto. Proseguono dunque i controlli sempre più serrati al fine di garantire la sicurezza di tutti gli utenti della strada ed evitare il verificarsi di sinistri che purtroppo negli anni passati hanno avuto esiti alquanto gravi. Dagli accertamenti è emerso che molti, in particolare motociclisti presenti, provengono da fuori regione e questo sta a significare come la sr 257 sia diventata da anni un percorso particolarmente “gettonato” anche per lo scenario ambientale di rara bellezza in cui è inserito. Sono stati eseguiti poi accertamenti, ancora in atto, su postazione di fotoreporter presenti a bordo strada. Le pattuglie saranno presenti per tutto il periodo estivo, compatibilmente con gli altri servizi, al fine di garantire il corretto comportamento degli utenti della strada. “La strada “257” è una direttrice stupenda che permette di ammirare la bellezza delle nostre colline ed è giusto che sia percorsa da tutti in sicurezza e nel rispetto reciproco di tutti e degli abitanti della zona.” L’assessore alla Polizia Locale, Rodolfo Braccalenti ringrazia gli agenti della Polizia Locale per l’impiego costante nel controllo del territorio e nel garantire il rispetto delle norme del codice della strada, controlli che rientrano in una complessiva azione di monitoraggio della viabilità del territorio disposta dal Comandante in particolare nei giorni festivi lungo i tornanti della Apecchiese particolarmente trafficata e percorsa da motociclisti e automezzi. “Tutto questo a dimostrazione del senso di responsabilità che l’Amministrazione Comunale – conclude Braccalenti – riserva con i propri uomini e mezzi per garantire più sicurezza agli utenti della strada ed ai cittadini residenti lungo le arterie stradali in stretta sinergia e collaborazione con le forze dell’ordine, di Polizia e Guardia di Finanza”. L’Apecchiese è la strada di collegamento interregionale Umbro-Marchigiana di oltre 53 chilometri di lunghezza: si estende da Città di Castello ad Acqualagna, passando per Apecchio e Piobbico in Provincia di Pesaro-Urbino. Il tratto umbro, ricadente interamente sul territorio del comune di Città di Castello, interessa circa 20 chilometri di strada (19,935 Km per la precisione) che risulta di competenza regionale, ma di gestione provinciale. Una strada molto transitata, soprattutto da motociclisti e appassionati delle due ruote, perché caratterizzata da una gran quantità di curve, quasi da record in rapporto ai chilometri totali. Sono infatti 141 le curve rilevate e rese note dai tecnici della Provincia di Perugia, alle quali si aggiungono 12 rettifili, alcuni dei quali in semicurva.
