Un percorso iniziato nei primi mesi dell’anno con l’introduzione dei nuovi cassonetti stradali e proseguito, da giugno, con l’avvio del servizio porta a porta nel centro storico e nell’anello limitrofo.
L’obiettivo dell’Amministrazione comunale, in sinergia con Sei Toscana, è stato sin da subito chiaro: migliorare la qualità della raccolta differenziata, ridurre l’impatto ambientale e restituire maggiore ordine e decoro alle vie della città. I primi risultati confermano la bontà della direzione intrapresa. La percentuale di raccolta differenziata, che nel 2024 si attestava al 47%, ha superato il 60% già a giugno di quest’anno, a testimonianza di una partecipazione attiva e consapevole da parte dei cittadini. Questo progresso è frutto sia della riorganizzazione dei servizi sia di un’attenzione crescente da parte della comunità alle buone pratiche ambientali. “Con il passaggio al nuovo porta a porta, anche il sistema di conferimento è stato rinnovato – dice il consigliere delegato Alessandro Bandini –. I nuovi sacchi e mastelli, diversi rispetto a quelli utilizzati in passato, sono indispensabili per garantire il corretto svolgimento del servizio. Per questo motivo, l’Amministrazione ricorda a tutti i residenti delle zone interessate che è necessario utilizzare e, chi non lo avesse ancora fatto, ritirare il nuovo kit”. È possibile ritirare il kit del porta a porta al centro di raccolta di Gricignano, il lunedì, mercoledì, venerdì e sabato dalle 9:30 alle 12:30 e dalle 16 alle 18. Al momento del ritiro è sufficiente presentare un documento d’identità e il codice fiscale o codice utente. È inoltre possibile ritirare il kit anche per altre persone presentando apposita delega. “A partire dalle prossime settimane – prosegue Bandini –, gli operatori di Sei Toscana inizieranno la rimozione dei vecchi mastelli eventualmente lasciati in strada. Un passaggio necessario per uniformare il servizio e migliorare ulteriormente la qualità della raccolta. Solo con il contributo di tutti sarà possibile consolidare i risultati raggiunti e continuare a costruire una città più pulita, più ordinata e più sostenibile”.
