La scuola itinerante, di cui il CAI è main partner, coinvolge giovani di tutta Italia, che viaggeranno a piedi per oltre mille km partendo dalle Valle d’Aosta
Il secondo anno scolastico itinerante di Strade Maestre è iniziato lunedì 15 settembre dal Colle Gran San Bernardo, al confine tra Italia e Svizzera, con una classe in cammino formata da giovani provenienti da varie parti d’Italia che sta attraversando la Valle D’Aosta seguendo il percorso della via Francigena.
Dopo aver salutato le famiglie domenica pomeriggio e aver pernottato all’Hospice du Grand-Saint-Bernard, i giovani, accompagnati dalle guide-insegnanti, hanno fatto tappa lunedì sera a Echevennoz (AO) e sono arrivati ieri sera ad Aosta, dove sono ospiti della parrocchia di Saint-Martin-de-Corléans. Il programma della prima settimanaOggi pomeriggio, presso il Comune di Aosta, che patrocina il progetto educativo, una delegazione della carovana sarà ricevuta dal sindaco, Gianni Nuti, insieme ad alcuni rappresentanti del CAI – Club Alpino Italiano, e dell’Aigae – Associazione Italiana Guide Escursionistiche Ambientali, tra i principali sostenitori di Strade Maestre. Nel programma della prima settimana di scuola sono previsti un corso di sicurezza in montagna tenuto dal Soccorso Alpino Valdostano, lezioni sull’alimentazione con una nutrizionista, incontri con associazioni e scout del territorio, e una visita guidata al Museo delle Alpi del Forte di Bard. La carovana, formata da circa venti persone tra giovani e adulti, proseguirà il viaggio a piedi lungo la Francigena, facendo tappa a Chatillon, a Verrès, a Pont-Saint-Martin, proseguendo poi il percorso verso il Piemonte dalla prossima settimana, dove sarà ospite del Comune di Vidracco e delle comunità di Damanhur. Mercoledì 1 ottobre alle 10.30 a Torino, presso il Museo Nazionale della Montagna del Cai, si svolgerà un incontro aperto al pubblico e alla stampa, presso la Sala degli Stemmi, in cui sarà presentato l’itinerario dell’anno scolastico 2025-26, con un dialogo con i giovani e le guide-insegnanti in cammino, rappresentanti dei sostenitori e dell’organizzazione del progetto, realizzato dalla cooperativa sociale CamminaMenti.
