Verso la Marcia Perugia-Assisi: a S. Domenico incontro per la pace.

Lunedì 6 ottobre alle 18.00, nella basilica di S. Domenico, Arezzo ha accolto il gruppo di marciatori partiti a piedi da Barbiana il 30 settembre per unirsi alla Marcia Perugia-Assisi del 12 ottobre. L’incontro è stato curato dalla Rete Aretina Pace e Disarmo. Hanno aperto la serata i rappresentanti del Comune e della Diocesi, che hanno rivolto il loro saluto ai marciatori.  

Con il contributo di Zanobi Bigazzi è stata ricordata la figura di Padre Raimondo Caprara, di come nel 1944 si fece carico dei bisogni della gente, trasformando la chiesa, con l’annesso convento e il grande collegio a fianco, in quella che fu definita la “Repubblica di San Domenico”. I ragazzi della Comunità Scout-Agesci hanno letto brani della Lettera ai Giudici scritta da don Lorenzo Milani nel 1965, un classico della letteratura sulla libertà di coscienza che mantiene intatta la sua capacità di interrogare chi ascolta. Sono seguite le esperienze degli studenti di Rondine Cittadella della Pace, commoventi per la loro intensità e per il potente messaggio di speranza. Anche la musica ha avuto spazio quale lingua universale dei popoli e strumento di pace, con il Gruppo Polifonico F. Coradini, che ha eseguito 5 brani dei quali è stata particolarmente apprezzata, oltre che l’esecuzione, anche la presentazione da parte del Maestro Vlademiro Vagnetti. Oltre che agli intervenuti, il ringraziamento della Rete Aretina Pace e Disarmo va alle altre realtà del nostro territorio che hanno collaborato per accogliere i marciatori provenienti da Barbiana: i Circoli di Tregozzano e Chiassa superiore, la Polisportiva, la Parrocchia di Puglia per il pranzo, la Sezione Soci Coop per il punto di ristoro, il CAS di Tortaia per la cena, il Seminario Vescovile per l’alloggio. La serata si è conclusa con l’invito a partecipare numerosi alla Marcia per la Pace Perugia-Assisi del prossimo 12 ottobre, attraverso le parole del suo manifesto: «In un tempo buio, che uccide la fiducia e la speranza, noi vogliamo suscitare un sogno, antico e moderno: “il sogno di una società fraterna”. Al mondo dell’inevitabile, della guerra inevitabile, della corsa al riarmo inevitabile, dello scontro inevitabile, della competizione inevitabile (…), noi rispondiamo con la fraternità e l’amicizia sociale. La fraternità è l’alternativa alla guerra: l’altro orizzonte possibile. Noi lo vogliamo immaginare, sognare, desiderare e costruire. Facciamolo assieme!»
