Si è ripetuta nel centro storico di Città di Castello a vent’anni dalla prima volta Secondi e Guerri: “un meraviglioso regalo alla città per il quale ringraziamo di vero cuore i Vigili del Fuoco del distaccamento tifernate”. La magia del volo della Befana dei Pompieri si è ripetuta puntuale a Città di Castello a 20 anni di distanza dalla prima volta.
Un appuntamento per il quale la comunità tifernate, come sempre, si è fermata e raccolta in piazza Gabriotti e per il quale persino il maltempo della giornata ha concesso una tregua, permettendo a centinaia di persone, tra cui tantissime famiglie con i bambini, di assistere a uno spettacolo unico, tra i monumenti simbolo della città. “Questa serata è un meraviglioso regalo a Città di Castello per il quale ringraziamo di vero cuore i Vigili del Fuoco del distaccamento tifernate, che, con coraggio, professionalità e grande generosità, testimoniano ogni anno l’affetto e il senso di appartenenza alla nostra comunità”, ha detto il sindaco Luca Secondi al microfono dello speaker ufficiale dell’evento Leonardo Caprini, salutando dal palco il pubblico presente insieme all’assessore al Commercio e al Turismo Letizia Guerri. Gli amministratori tifernati hanno ringraziato tutti i partecipanti e i protagonisti della serata, i Vigili del Fuoco del distaccamento cittadino, che, con l’associazione Gianluca Pennetti Pennella e l’apporto del mondo del volontariato locale, hanno rinnovato ancora una volta la tradizione del volo della Befana che Città di Castello è stata la prima a inaugurare in Umbria nel 2004. Secondi e Guerri hanno voluto dedicare un pensiero particolare di riconoscenza al comandante provinciale dei Vigili del Fuoco Antonio Albanese, al capo distaccamento dei Vigili del Fuoco di Città di Castello Gian Paolo Ciuchi e del responsabile della manovra SAF Massimo Mancinelli, che hanno coordinato i circa dieci pompieri impegnati direttamente nell’esibizione, sotto lo sguardo dei colleghi del distaccamento tifernate e dei rappresentanti dell’Associazione Nazionale Vigili del Fuoco del Corpo Nazionale. Accompagnata da fumogeni e fasci di luce, la Befana dei Pompieri ha fluttuato ancora una volta magicamente nel cielo di piazza Gabriotti, sospesa a 40 metri di altezza tra il campanile del palazzo comunale e la torre civica. Uno spettacolo che ha rapito gli sguardi dei tantissimi bambini accorsi, che con genitori, nonni e amici si sono goduti un’esibizione davvero emozionante. Una volta a terra la Befana si è unita alle altre arzille vecchiette dei Pompieri e del Club 8.3 che l’attendevano per regalare a tutti i piccoli sorrisi, allegria e caramelle. L’iniziativa è stata proposta dal Comune e dai Vigili del Fuoco tifernati in collaborazione con l’associazione Gianluca Pennetti Pennella e grazie al contributo del mondo del volontariato cittadino: il gruppo territoriale di Città di Castello dell’Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri; l’Associazione A.RI.RE (radioamatori Città di Castello); il comitato tifernate della Croce Rossa Italiana; il Gruppo Alfa; il Gruppo Comunale di Protezione Civile; Swrtu; il Gruppo Tiferno; la Pubblica Assistenza Tifernate; il Lions Club Città di Castello; il Rotary Club Città di Castello.
