È morto Ugo Intini, all’età di 82 anni, ieri sera a Milano, dopo una lunga malattia. Lascia la moglie Carla e il figlio Carlo. È stato a lungo direttore del giornale socialista Avanti!, de Il Lavoro di Genova e deputato per quattro legislature. E’ quanto fa sapere in una nota il Psi.
“Ugo Intini – prosegue la nota – ha ricoperto incarichi di governo nel secondo Governo Amato (2000-2001) e nel secondo Governo Prodi (2006-2008) in entrambi nel ruolo di sottosegretario agli Esteri. Da socialista, Ugo Intini ha raccontato pagine importanti della storia del nostro Paese dall’osservatorio privilegiato qual era la segreteria del Psi negli anni ’80, dove ha ricoperto l’incarico di responsabile dell’informazione, di portavoce del Psi, rappresentante del partito all’Internazionale Socialista, a fianco a Bettino Craxi. Negli anni difficili del dopo tangentopoli, Ugo Intini non lascia mai il Psi, ma continua a dare con generosità il suo contributo di idee, accompagnando negli anni seguenti il partito ed i suoi militanti in un difficile percorso di riaffermazione riformista, sino ai giorni attuali, dove non è mai mancata la sua presenza. Di Intini si ricorda la nutrita produzione letteraria, attraverso la quale ha approfondito i contorni di un Paese in continua trasformazione, mettendo in luce tratti di storia anche sconosciuti, che hanno riguardato molti degli attori politici del nostro recente passato. L’ultimo libro, “Testimoni di un secolo” è del 2022. Il Psi, nel ricordo di Ugo Intini, esporrà in segno di lutto la bandiera a mezz’asta nella sede della direzione del partito a Roma”.
