Gabriele Maquignaz, noto artista Valdostano, è riuscito a conquistare anche il grande Prof. Francesco Alberoni, sociologo di fama internazionale, nonché uno degli uomini più stimati d’Italia, già direttore generale della Rai e creatore della grande Università IULM, solo per citare alcuni dei suoi meriti.
Il Maestro Maquignaz, figlio d’arte, fin da bambino manifesta propensione e talento per la manualità creativa, che sfocerà durante la maturità in una necessità fisica e spirituale di esprimersi attraverso pittura, scultura, performance. Come quella fatta due anni fa col critico d’arte Philippe Daverio e lo chef Carlo Cracco alla Galleria Vittorio Emanuele di Milano, dove ha incantato la platea milanese aprendo “La porta dell’Aldilà” attraverso un taglio ragionato e concettuale sulla tela, legando per sempre le due dimensioni dell’arte. Il suo “Big Bang per la pace” è la nuova frontiera dell’arte e riesce ad incuriosire un po’ tutti. Sarà per questo che un noto giornalista italiano l’ha definito il nuovo Bansky. Una tela bianca colpito da un colpo di fucile con cartucce di colore, attraverso un gesto mistico e spirituale, danno origine ad opere sorprendenti. Lo stesso Professor Alberoni, nel suo video commento sul Big Bang, lo paragona a Pollock e lo definisce “un gesto di luce, speranza, un qualcosa che in un momento storico così difficile porta l’attenzione sulle armi, che sì dovrebbero sparare ma solo gioia e colore”. Originale, creativo, mai scontato, a volte geniale, Maquignaz riesce sempre a stupire. Una sua importante opera sarà esposta al Padiglione Spoleto presentato da Sgarbi, alla Biennale di Venezia.
