Il comune di Città di Castello, “Comune Amico delle Api”, si è impegnato ad organizzare questa di iniziativa con al centro gli studenti di vari istituti scolastici, medie e primarie con l’obiettivo di costruire un rapporto dialogico con i contesti di vita, studio e per promuovere lo sviluppo sostenibile e la tutela ambientale. In particolare l’I.T. Franchetti Salviani, risultato vincitore del premio “Senato&Ambiente” con il progetto “Proteggi le api con noi”, è intervenuto con i ragazzi delle classi terze, illustrando un percorso alla scoperta di questi curiosi insetti indispensabili per la vita dell’uomo, sottolineando l’importanza strategica che ha il mondo delle api per tutto il nostro ecosistema. Nel corso dell’incontro gli studenti dell’Istituto sono stati premiati dal sindaco e dagli assessori all’ambiente e alla scuola che hanno ringraziato la dirigente scolastica, del “Franchetti-Salviani”, Valeria Vaccari, per l’attività svolta e si sono congratulati ancora per i prestigiosi risultati raggiunti. Al termine dell’incontro ad ogni studente è stato consegnato un piccolo sacchetto contenente dei semi utili a far crescere un prato fiorito in grado di attirare le api: bel gesto simbolo particolarmente apprezzato da tutti i presenti.
