Nella dolce notte lucignanese il gran finale della Maggiolata. Non ha tradito le aspettative l’edizione del ritorno dopo i due anni di sospensione dell’evento causa pandemia. E quella di ieri è stata una serata conclusiva caratterizzata dal tutto esaurito, sano divertimento, esibizioni spettacolari. Tra grandi emozioni e annunci importanti, come quello del presidente storico dell’Associazione Maggiolata, Massimo Casini, che dopo tanti anni di onorata carriera e grandi meriti per avere tenuto sempre la barra dritta con impegno e coerenza, ha scelto le battute finali e il palco di piazza delle Logge per un annuncio che, se da un lato era per così dire “atteso”, dall’altro apre le porte al futuro della principale manifestazione di uno dei “Borghi più d’Italia” e della Toscana: “Ho sempre cercato di fare sintesi tra le esigenze della nostra grande festa e l’equilibrio dei conti – ha detto con malcelata emozione il presidentissimo – lascio un’Associazione forte e in grado di trovare in sé le risorse umane per andare avanti nel migliore dei modi, sempre pensando alla ricaduta positiva per la nostra comunità. Lo dimostra questa edizione di grande successo, per la quale ci siamo spesi con impegno e determinazione. Ringrazio tutti per la collaborazione, auguro lunga vita alla Maggiolata”. A Roberta Casini, un attimo dopo, l’onere della sintesi finale: “Una soddisfazione immensa arrivare a questo risultato, una Maggiolata bellissima. L’Amministrazione comunale è grata per questo successo verso i volontari e tutti coloro che hanno contribuito a vario titolo alla buona riuscita dell’evento. Ne avevamo bisogno, il nostro borgo è tornato a fare comunità e a lanciare messaggi universali come quello di pace con la nostra bandiera floreale composta dai bambini e la “battaglia dei fiori”, che ora più che mai assume un forte valore simbolico”. “Siamo ripartiti dall’autenticità – ha aggiunto – dalla nostra tradizione e dalla nostra ospitalità, dimostrando che tutti insieme possiamo raggiungere grandi risultati. Ringrazio il direttivo del Comitato per il grande impegno in favore della manifestazione e dell’intera comunità, è anche grazie a loro se la Maggiolata può guardare al futuro con ottimismo”. In precedenza, in un centro storico gremito come non mai, si erano esibiti tra scroscianti applausi il Gruppo e corteo storico di Lucignano, il Gruppo folkloristico di Lucignano, la Compagnia il Cilindro di Cortona, la banda Rosini di Lucignano con le majorettes “Mens Sana Genesis” di Siena, il Gruppo storico Città di Cortona e La Folkloristica Band di Bettolle. Un trionfo il passaggio dei quattro carri dedicati all’arte di Jeff Koons, su idea dell’assessore al turismo e direttore artistico Stefano Cresti che nei giorni scorsi aveva anche informato l’artista di questo omaggio. Carri infine spogliati delle migliaia di addobbi floreali lanciati dai giovani di Porta San Giusto, Via dell’Amore, Porta San Giovanni e Porta Murata sulla folla entusiasta per la tradizionale mossa conclusiva della Maggiolata, la “battaglia dei fiori”, “l’unica per noi plausibile”, ha ribadito il sindaco. Ad ogni uscita, l’evento ha ricevuto la visita di numerosi ospiti amici di Lucignano, dal presidente della Regione Eugenio Giani presente al taglio del nastro, al Prefetto di Arezzo Maddalena De Luca, poi Chiara Lanari, Maria De Palma sindaco di Marciano della Chiana, infine l’ex parlamentare Vasco Giannotti, i consiglieri regionali Lucia De Robertis e Vincenzo Ceccarelli, suscitando le attenzioni anche del Tg3, che ha dedicato un ampio servizio alla coloratissima festa lucignanese. “Nessun vinto, nessun vincitore per l’edizione della ripartenza – ha concluso Roberta Casini – a vincere è stata Lucignano. Appuntamento al 2023 per l’84^ edizione”.
