CITTA’ DI CASTELLO – avviata la fase di partecipazione sul piano di riorganizzazione, che ha l’obiettivo di garantire la sicurezza e pertanto l’esistenza stessa del mercato, contemperando le esigenze di ambulanti, negozianti e pubblici esercizi.
Il mercato settimanale del giovedì e del sabato continuerà a svolgersi nel centro storico di Città di Castello. E’ la scelta di base dell’amministrazione comunale nella proposta di riorganizzazione, necessaria e non più rinviabile, redatta dagli uffici comunali del settore Commercio, del settore Tecnico e della Polizia Municipale, sulla quale è stata avviata una fase di partecipazione con incontri rivolti ai soggetti interessati. In controtendenza con alcune delle maggiori città dell’Umbria, che hanno delocalizzato gli ambulanti all’esterno delle mura urbiche o in luoghi differenti dai centri storici, questa opzione è stata da subito rigettata dall’amministrazione comunale. L’intervento di riorganizzazione messo nero su bianco dall’ente è finalizzato alla predisposizione di un piano di sicurezza indispensabile e non più differibile, che possa permettere il passaggio dei mezzi di soccorso, mantenendo il mercato dove è sempre stato allestito. L’obiettivo è di valorizzare l’offerta del centro storico, sia in chiave commerciale che turistica, contemperando le esigenze degli ambulanti, dei negozianti e dei pubblici esercizi presenti all’interno delle mura urbiche. Il valore storico, culturale ed economico del mercato, con la sua tradizionale dislocazione nelle piazze principali del cuore della città, verrà preservato conformemente alla normativa. L’area sulla quale saranno disposti gli ambulanti verrà ampliata con l’intenzione di rendere ancora più appetibile l’offerta per i cittadini. Terminata la fase di partecipazione preliminare, con il piano definitivo redatto alla luce delle osservazioni raccolte si procederà a una concertazione collettiva. Nell’ottica della massima condivisione politica delle scelte, il nuovo piano del mercato settimanale sarà esaminato anche nella commissione consiliare preposta. Entro il mese di giugno l’amministrazione comunale rinnoverà agli ambulanti le concessioni degli spazi per 12 anni. Dopo l’approvazione del piano di riorganizzazione definitivo da parte della giunta comunale, che avverrà soltanto al termine della procedura prevista, l’amministrazione procederà alla riassegnazione delle postazioni in base alle graduatorie vigenti fra gli ambulanti. Il piano di riorganizzazione che sarà adottato a conclusione dell’iter amministrativo garantirà l’esistenza del mercato settimanale, nel rispetto di tutti gli ambulanti, che storicamente hanno creduto e partecipato al mercato cittadino, ma anche dei negozianti e di tutte attività commerciali
