Si è concluso il Festival del merletto a Sansepolcro Un intreccio di fili, ricami, ma anche tradizioni, culture e storie di vita. Questa la sintesi della tre giorni di ❞𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗖𝗜❞ che si è conclusa a Sansepolcro dopo una seconda edizione che, grazie all’associazione ❞𝗜𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗮̀ 𝗱𝗶 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗮❞ ha riunito merlettaie e appassionati di questa arte antica provenienti da tutti il mondo.
Alla premiazione, che si è svolta in piazza Garibaldi domenica pomeriggio, erano presenti per l’associazione “Il Merletto nella città di Piero” la presidente Pof.sa Lelia Riguccini assieme alla vice presidente Anna Capozzi e Francesca Mercati oltre ai giurati, Pasquale Filippelli, tessitore esperto, Marialuisa Rizzini, storica dell’arte, Claudio Cherubini storico, scrittore e giornalista e Michela Cucicea, storica del merletto ligure. Ad aver vinto il Festival realizzato, per la prima volta, in presenza dopo lo stop dettato dalla Pandemia Covid, è stata un’opera realizzata da una merlettaia proveniente dagli Stati Uniti d’America dal titolo “World of lace,inspired by the past looking to the future”. 24 erano le opere partcipanti provenienti da Croazia, Argentina e, come la vincitrice appunto Stati Uniti D’America. La manifestazione aveva previsto anche una mostra estemporanea in cui 9 concorrenti hanno realizzato in meno di 16 ore delle piccole opere d’arte che sono state premiate con un riconoscimento in denaro e un attestato di partecipazione. Ad aggiudicarsi il primo premio è stato Rossano Duzioni proveniente dalla provincia di Bergamo. “Un sentito ringraziamento va all’associazione che ha organizzato l’evento – ha dichiarato l’assessore Francesca Mercati intervenuta durante la cerimonia di premiazione – depositaria di una delle tradizioni più antiche della città. Una manifestazione in cui arte e cultura hanno fatto parlare di temi attuali e importanti attraverso opere uniche e rapporti che grazie a questi tre giorni si sono consolidati.” Molte le associazioni e le varie realtà locali che hanno impreziosito la manifestazione grazie alla loro collaborazione permettendo a cittadini e turisti di godere di una città viva e piena di arte: dalle vetrine del centro storico, in cui sono state esposti i merletti di Sansepolcro, ai musei della città che hanno straordinariamente aperto al pubblico ospitando opere suggestive e collaborato in maniera attiva e creative, oltre al coinvolgimento di Donatella Zanchi e la Compagnia Teatro Popolare che hanno animato il sabato sera della manifestazione.
