Sviluppo e prospettive occupazionali per l’automotive in Basilicata, è stato concentrato oggi in Regione Basilicata un vertice sulla transizione ecologica, la formazione e riqualificazione dei lavoratori, Pnrr e crisi aziendali. Hanno preso parte: Florence Costanzo, Segretaria Regionale Ugl Metalmeccanici, Giuseppe Palumbo, Segretario Provinciale della federazione di Potenza, l’assessore alle Politiche di Sviluppo, Alessandro Galella,  il sindaco di Melfi Giuseppe Maglione, i segretari lucani di Cgil, Cisl, Uil, Confsal e Fismic, i presidenti di Confindustria e di Confapi di Potenza e Matera.

I responsabili Ugl Lucani, hanno sottolineato all’Assessore Galella l’aspetto di confronto aperto con i rappresentanti delle realtà territoriali interessate al settore dell’auto dichiarando che: “Siamo in un comparto industriale da tempo in crisi, approfondita dalla pandemia, con pesanti ripercussioni su lavoratori e famiglie. I dati di Stellantis sinora sono preoccupanti e che l’automotive a Melfi è in forte affanno: occorre sviluppare politiche attive per garantire un futuro occupazionale a tutti, indotto compreso, senza tagliare servizi, mettendo al primo posto la sicurezza di lavoratori e lavoratrici. Sediamoci a un tavolo per salvaguardare occupazione e produzioni e promuovere sempre più sul nostro territorio la green economy. Certo – aggiungono i segretari Ugl – oggi registriamo un dato sconcertante con le immatricolazioni in calo dappertutto, però rievocate le difficoltà, come Ugl possiamo affermare che FCA e poi Stellantis hanno reagito in modo deciso, lavorando sulle sinergie post fusione e confermando il piano di investimenti e dei nuovi 4 modelli che si andranno a fabbricare nel sito di San Nicola di Melfi. L’automotive è strategico per la città di Melfi bisogna dimenticare la preoccupante grave crisi del 2020 che ha provocato in Italia un calo del 26% delle immatricolazioni in tutti i comparti dell’automotive. Servono allora interventi e misure in grado di incidere in maniera profonda sulla competitività e sulla tenuta del nostro settore con proposte strategiche nei settori della ricerca e dello sviluppo in materia di mobilità sostenibile. Come UglM riteniamo sia necessario costruire politiche industriali che nascono dal basso per dare indicazioni nette e coerenti sul tema. Ancora più importante che questo processo possa arrivare dal nostro territorio, da sempre specializzato nella produzione delle auto. Serve un territorio fertile e Melfi e la Basilicata lo sono, ma serve uno sforzo politico che aiuti e favorisca anche l’attenzione verso le piccole e medie imprese che sono il fulcro di questa realtà e dove come Ugl – concludono Palumbo e Costanzo  –  mostriamo solidarietà e vicinanza alla causa di tutti i lavoratori del comprensorio indotto Stellantis che da anni vivono nell’incubo di potersi ritrovare a breve senza alcuna prospettiva occupazionale.
