“L’unione fa la forza”, è questo il messaggio che l’associazione di volontariato Avis di Sansepolcro ha voluto lanciare nella “Giornata mondiale del donatore di sangue” che ricorre il 14 giugno di ogni anno.Su iniziativa della Presidente di Avis Sansepolcro Silvia Nofri sono state consegnate ai bar del centro storico della città 5 kg di bustine da zucchero colorate e riportanti frasi propositive per festeggiare i tanti donatori locali e invogliare chi ancora non lo fosse ad avvicinarsi a questo mondo del volontariato.
I vari bar del centro storico hanno felicemente aderito all’iniziativa per cercare di lanciare un appello importante e far sì che sempre più persone, soprattutto i giovani, inizino a donare sangue per poter fare del bene e salvare molte vite. Inoltre in questi giorni ai volontari che effettuavano la donazione di sangue veniva consegnata una t-shirt dedicata proprio a questa ricorrenza celebrata a livello mondiale. Un modo questo, non solo per elogiare la generosità e l’impegno dei 1346 donatori della Valtiberina, ma anche per sensibilizzare sempre più persone a poter donare. La regione toscana conta quest’anno un calo di donazioni notevole che segna un -12,8%, serve quindi fare molto a livello comunicativo per cercare di riportare alta l’attenzione su questa realtà. Se i dati regionali sono in calo quelli della Valtiberina fortunatamente sono buoni, il centro trasfusionale di Sansepolcro conta un +1,98% di donazioni negli ultimi mesi, dato che l’associazione spera possa ancora salire. Oltre alla collaborazione dei bar il comune di Sansepolcro ha aderito all’iniziativa di Anci illuminando di rosso Palazzo Pretorio, sede storica dell’associazione Avis. La cittadinanza ha molto gradito rispondendo non solo con sorrisi, ma anche con promesse di donazioni a breve e già si contano nuovi iscritti.
