2022. L’equipaggio numero 46, a bordo di Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SSZAGATO del 1929, fa il bis del successo ottenuto nell’edizione 2021. Per Vesco,primo anche nel 2020 a fianco di papà Roberto, c’è la doppia soddisfazione diaver sfatato un tabù che resisteva da 22 anni. Solo Giuliano Cané, tra il 1998 e il
2000, era riuscito a imporsi in tre edizioni consecutive della “corsa più bella delmondo”.
Al secondo posto, proprio come un anno fa, l’equipaggio numero 40 formato da
Andrea Luigi Belometti e Gianluca Bergomi su Lancia Lambda Spider Tipo 221
del 1929. Terzo gradino del podio per l’equipaggio numero 8 formato da
Lorenzo e Mario Turelli su O.M. 665 S MM Superba 2000 del 1929.
A Silvia Marini e Irene Dei Tos, su Bugatti T40 del 1929, va invece la Coppa delle
Dame.
La 1000 Miglia, intensa e impegnativa, ha richiesto agli equipaggi grande abilità
su 115 Prove Cronometrate e 8 Prove di Media. Particolarmente apprezzate le
prove su sterrato di Capodimonte, sulle rive del Lago di Bolsena.
Quattro i vincitori dei trofei speciali collegati alle Prove Cronometrate. Lorenzo
e Mario Turelli, su O.M. 665 S MM Superba 2000 del 1929, si aggiudicano il
Trofeo Nuvolari, dedicato ai 130 anni dalla nascita di Tazio Nuvolari. A Giovanni
Moceri e Valeria Dicembre, su Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 Super Sport del 1928, va il
Trofeo Repubblica di San Marino. Andrea Vesco e Fabio Salvinelli, oltre la
vittoria della gara, conquistano anche il Trofeo Città di Siena. Il Trofeo del
Centenario dell’Autodromo di Monza se lo aggiudicano Alberto e Giuseppe
Scapolo su O.M. 665 S MM Superba 2000 del 1929.
