Il Museo Civico Piero della Francesca di Sansepolcro è pronto ad arricchire la propria arte e l’offerta culturale proposta ai visitatori. Si apre il 3 luglio una mostra dedicata ad un altro biturgense illustre, Raffaello Schiaminossi, di cui ricorre quest’anno il quarto centenario della morte (1622)
Grazie al generoso apporto di un collezionista, Luca Valbonetti, e al contributo scientifico di un esperto di incisioni, Luca Baroni, curatore della mostra, il progetto si prefigge di sostenere la memoria di un Artista che, pur famoso in vita, poi per troppo tempo è rimasto noto solo a una ristretta cerchia di studiosi e collezionisti. La mostra intende dunque promuovere la diffusione della conoscenza nella comunità e tra i visitatori del Civico e della Città, della produzione incisoria dell’Artista, che qui è rappresentata in modo quasi esaustivo. L’idea di realizzare un progetto su Schiaminossi, discepolo di Cherubino Alberti, nella considerazione di altre mostre svoltesi in anni passati, nasce, oltre che dalla volontà di celebrare la ricorrenza dell’anniversario della morte anche e soprattutto da quella di presentare approfondimenti e novità sulla sua vita e sulle sue opere. La mostra presenta al pubblico circa 150 stampe, offrendo un panorama pressoché completo dei principali soggetti trattati da Schiaminossi, Profeti, Sibille, oltre che Schermitori, le immagini dei quali accompagnano il famoso trattato dell’arte e dell’uso della scherma di Ridolfo Capoferro. Il percorso espositivo è corredato da importanti manoscritti che si riferiscono alla biografia dell’Autore, concessi in prestito dall’Archivio Storico di Firenze, dalla Biblioteca di Arezzo e dall’Archivio Vescovile di Sansepolcro. Alcune opere e documenti di proprietà del Comune, conservati presso l’Archivio Storico della biblioteca comunale, lo completano. L’esposizione promuove connessioni con il territorio, favorendo la visita ad alcuni siti della Città dove si trovano i dipinti dell’Autore (Duomo, Oratorio della Madonna delle Grazie, Chiesa di S.Francesco), produzione artistica per la quale Schiaminossi è meno noto che nell’incisione, a cui è dedicato il catalogo che la accompagna. Il progetto espositivo, che ha ottenuto il patrocinio del Ministro della Cultura, della Regione Toscana, della Scuola Normale di Pisa e dell’Oliveriana di Pesaro è ricco di eventi collaterali, tra cui un convegno di studi a ridosso del 26 settembre, ultimo giorno della mostra. La conferenza stampa di presentazione si svolgerà presso il Museo Civico biturgense sabato 2 luglio alle 11:30 alla presenza del Presidente della Regione Toscana Eugenio Giani, l’assessore comunale alla cultura Francesca Mercati e del curatore della mostra Luca Baroni. Il taglio del nastro è previsto il pomeriggio dello stesso giorno alle 17.
