Crolla blocco di ghiaccio sulla Marmolada, Travolte due cordate di alpinisti’ Così gli inquirenti. Il bilancio provvisorio è di 6 morti, 9 feriti e una ventina di dispersi. Aperta un’inchiesta per disastro colposo. Il cordoglio di Draghi. Allestito a Canazei un punto operativo.
Sono proseguite anche nel corso della notte le attività dei soccorritori sul ghiacciaio della Marmolada per cercare eventuali superstiti dopo il disastro di ieri.
Nei sopralluoghi è stato impegnato personale della Protezione Civile trentina, con il supporto del soccorso alpino e dei droni dei Vigili del fuoco dotati di termocamere, in grado di individuare anche al buio la fonte di calore emessa da una persona. Al momento non vi sono notizie sull’esito dei sopralluoghi. Nel frattempo a Canazei sono arrivati due gruppi di parenti di vittime e dispersi, che sono saliti di numero: sono infatti tre o quattro in più dei 16 comunicati ieri. Le vittime sono tutte al Palaghiaccio di Canazei, dove è stata allestita la camera ardente e dove i parenti, in mattinata, inizieranno il doloroso rito dei riconoscimenti dei corpi. Al momento sono 6 le vittime confermate: tre italiani, un cecoslovacco, più un uomo ed una donna non ancora identificati, ma il bilancio è verosimilmente destinato ad aggravarsi. Le condizioni meteorologiche saranno determinanti per valutare l’intervento diretto dei soccorritori: il freddo e le basse temperature sono fondamentali per garantire un minimo di sicurezza alle operazioni, visto che sulla montagna è rimasto un’enorme quantità di ghiaccio pericolante. Per valutare come procedere sarà fondamentale la valutazione dei meteorologi di Arabba e Meteo Trentino.
Fra i dispersi ci sono sicuramente italiani, tedeschi e cechi e romeni. A Canazei intanto sono arrivati due gruppi di parenti delle vittime e dei dispersi. Le ricerche dei dispersi sono proseguite anche nella notte. Nei sopralluoghi è stato impiegato personale della Protezione vivile trentina, con il supporto del Soccorso alpino e dei droni dei Vigili del fuoco dotati di termocamere, in grado di individuare anche al buio la fonte del capore emesso da una persona.
Un numero dove segnalare gli eventuali dispersi nel crollo del seracco di ghiaccio sulla Marmolada. Lo ha istituto il Soccorso Alpino sottolineando, in italiano e in inglese, che deve essere utilizzato esclusivamente per segnalare il mancato rientro di amici e familiari. La valanga sulla Marmolada è “un disastro inimmaginabile, una carneficina tale che solo difficilmente ci permetterà di identificare con esattezza l’identità delle vittime perché i corpi sono stati smembrati” dalla colata di ghiaccio e sassi. E’ quanto apprende l’ANSA dagli inquirenti. Secondo quanto è stato finora ricostruito la valanga ha travolto due cordate da sei alpinisti. Tra le vittime ci sarebbero anche le guide. I soccorritori sperano ora in un abbassamento delle temperature di notte per poter riprendere domani mattina presto le ricerche. Il distacco, secondo le prime informazioni del Soccorso Alpino, si sarebbe verificato nei pressi di Punta Rocca, lungo l’itinerario di salita della via normale per raggiungere la vetta. Proprio sabato sulla Marmolada era stato raggiunto il record delle temperature, con circa 10 gradi in vetta. La procura di Trento ha aperto un fascicolo sul crollo del seracco in cima alla Marmolada che ha causato la morte di almeno sei alpinisti e il ferimento di altri nove, due dei quali in gravi condizioni.
La massa di materiale staccatosi dal ghiacciaio della Marmolada è scesa da una velocità di 300 chilometri l’ora. E’ quanto hanno accertato i tecnici del Soccorso Alpino che hanno mappato tutta l’area della montagna in cui si è verificato il crollo del seracco. Una parte consistente del ghiacciaio è ancora attaccata alla montagna: si tratta di un fronte di ghiaccio di 200 metri con un’altezza di 60 metri ed una profondità di 80 metri. Se si volesse fare un termine di paragone, dicono gli esperti, si tratta dell’equivalente di due campi di calcio colmi di ghiaccio. Il tutto esposto a 45 gradi di pendenza. Il materiale che si è staccato è invece esteso su un fronte di due chilometri sulla via normale ad un’altezza di circa 2.800 metri: e questo significa, appunto, che la massa di materiale staccatosi ha percorso almeno 500 metri con una velocità stimata dai tecnici pari a 300 km l’ora. Il presidente della Provincia autonoma di Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, ha raggiunto Canazei dove è stato allestito un Punto operativo. Lo comunica la Provincia autonoma di Trento. Le salme delle vittime del crollo avvenuto sulla Marmolada sono state portate allo stadio del ghiaccio di Canazei, il paese della Val di Fassa che si trova a pochi chilometri dal passo Fedaia, dove parte la funivia per salire in vetta. Al palazzo del ghiaccio è inoltre stato attivato un team di psicologi per assistere i parenti delle vittime.
