Fin dagli esordi listituzione ha scelto una linea di alto profilo, con docenti provenienti dalle università di Siena, Firenze e Perugia, grazie a lezioni imperniate su tre percorsi: storico, estetico-letterario, scientifico. Poi, lattività si è allargata a una marea di iniziative a 360 gradi. Senza dimenticare che allinterno della sede è presente una qualificata biblioteca, composta da centinaia di volumi, anche di pregio e di antiquariato, creatasi grazie anche a lasciti testamentari. Nellanno accademico 2021/2022 il totale degli iscritti è stato di ben 315 studenti: un numero che parla da sé. La struttura che in questo momento ospita luniversità è, come noto, nellarea della ex caserma Cadorna, dove prossimamente sorgerà il centro per limpiego voluto da Regione e Comune. È dunque fondamentale attivarsi fin da subito per trovare una sede sostitutiva adeguata per salvaguardare e rilanciare una meravigliosa realtà che è un vero e proprio vanto cittadino.
