Presentate le prossime attività previste dalla riorganizzazione dei servizi di raccolta dei rifiuti. Dal 2018 a oggi la differenziata cresciuta del 15% Comune di Arezzo e Sei Toscana insieme in difesa dell’ambiente e per una raccolta sempre più di qualità. L’assessore all’ambiente Marco Sacchetti, il presidente Alessandro Fabbrini e il direttore generale di Sei Toscana Gianluca Paglia e il presidente di CoReVe Gianni Scotti, assieme ai tecnici di Comune e gestore, hanno presentato le prossime attività previste dalla riorganizzazione dei servizi di raccolta dei rifiuti che interesseranno il territorio comunale.
L’obiettivo è duplice: da un lato, incrementare quantità e qualità della raccolta differenziata, proseguendo il percorso virtuoso degli ultimi anni che ha fatto registrare un aumento del 15%. Dall’altro migliorare il decoro urbano e garantire una migliore vivibilità e fruibilità della città.
“Siamo passati – sottolinea l’assessore Marco Sacchetti – dal 40% del 2018 al 55% del maggio 2022: a dimostrazione della bontà delle scelte effettuate. Nello stesso periodo abbiamo riscontrato una sostanziale diminuzione degli abbandoni e un incremento dell’utilizzo del servizio a chiamata per il ritiro degli ingombranti. Ovviamente non ci accontentiamo e continuiamo a lavorare per raggiungere traguardi sempre più ambiziosi e adeguati a una città che vuole mostrarsi come città sostenibile, sia per chi vi abita sia per chi la visita. L’ambiente urbano, oltre che proiettare Arezzo in una dimensione europea, in linea con gli obiettivi che si è data l’Unione, è una delle variabili imprescindibili per consolidare l’oramai acquisita vocazione turistica”. I prossimi interventi riguarderanno le zone esterne nord, ovest e sud e le zone industriali (Calamandrei, Pratacci, Maspino e San Zeno) dove ci sarà una riorganizzazione e razionalizzazione dei calendari di conferimento del porta a porta con l’introduzione del mastello per i rifiuti non riciclabili con codice RFID (sistema di riconoscimento dell’utenza) che consentirà, quando il nuovo sistema andrà interamente a regime, di introdurre progressivamente una tariffazione puntuale. Nel 2023 è previsto infatti il completamento della riorganizzazione in tutto il territorio comunale con il passaggio a monovetro anche per la raccolta stradale ad accesso controllato e il conferimento tramite 6Card. “L’obiettivo che Sei Toscana si è data – commenta il presidente Alessandro Fabbrini – è coinvolgere le persone abituandole a differenziare il più possibile e riducendo in modo drastico la quantità di rifiuti non differenziati. Seguendo le linee indicate nel nostro nuovo piano industriale, stiamo lavorando ogni giorno a stretto contatto con le amministrazioni comunali e l’Autorità di ambito per cercare di mettere a disposizione dei cittadini un sistema di raccolta il più possibile efficace ed efficiente, funzionale a garantire il raggiungimento degli obiettivi di legge in merito alle quantità e, soprattutto, alla qualità dei materiali da avviare a riciclo”. Fra le maggiori novità che saranno progressivamente introdotte, il conferimento separato del vetro in tutto il Comune per garantire una maggiore qualità del materiale raccolto e, quindi, un maggiore riciclo. “Siamo soddisfatti di supportare il Comune di Arezzo in questo percorso di riorganizzazione – dichiara il presidente di CoReVe Gianni Scotti – e certi che il passaggio al monovetro porterà evidenti miglioramenti della qualità, essenziale per non perdere materiale prezioso per il riciclo. A causa della scarsa qualità della raccolta, infatti, vanno perse a livello italiano circa 200mila tonnellate di materiale pari a quasi il 10% della raccolta totale”.
