Con la mostra “Extra Terris” uno sguardo sulla produzione dei maestri tifernati, tra tradizione e modernità. Inaugurazione lunedì 22 agosto a Palazzo del Podestà Città di Castello fa il primo passo nel circuito internazionale delle Città della Ceramica con la mostra “Extra Terris”, che sarà inaugurata lunedì 22 agosto alle ore 18.00 a Palazzo del Podestà
Fino al 4 settembre l’esposizione patrocinata dal Comune getterà uno sguardo sulla produzione dei maestri locali, che coniuga una tradizione artigiana tra le più importanti in Umbria e in Italia con l’innovazione stilistica e le moderne strategie industriali. Dopo l’adesione al sodalizio votata dal consiglio comunale nel marzo scorso, Città di Castello inizia così il percorso nell’Associazione Italiana Città della Ceramica, che raccoglie 45 comuni della Penisola riconosciuti dal MISE per la significativa attività nel settore. Nell’allestimento a Palazzo del Podestà, aperto al pubblico tutti i giorni dalle ore 17.00 alle 19.30 e nelle serate di giovedì e sabato dalle ore 21.00 alle ore 23.00, i visitatori potranno scoprire le opere di Luca Baldelli, con una serie inedita che ricorda il vitalismo del padre Dante, pioniere della ceramica contemporanea, accanto alle creazioni di Simona Baldelli, che non dimenticano la funzionalità del padre Massimo, acclamato designer per il mercato internazionale e collaboratore di Alberto Burri. Fanette Cardinali presenterà un trittico di opere che coniuga astrazione e assonanze con il mondo faunesco, mentre Ceramiche Noi sarà in mostra con un omaggio alle “Ogive” e ai “Cretti” di Burri. Completeranno l’esposizione la linea di esordio “Entropia” di Eleonora Colacicchi, Francesco Fantini con una particolare opera ‘sonante’ e Giorgio Ricciardi con i magistrali prodotti di alta temperatura del suo Laboratorio Castello. Nel percorso espositivo sarà possibile interagire con gli stessi artisti, che saranno spesso presenti, anche su eventuale richiesta dei visitatori. Per Giada Colacicchi, curatrice dell’allestimento e ideatrice dell’evento “l’intento di ‘Extra Terris’ è di uscire dalla terra non solo in forma di creazione artistica o artigianale, ma andando allo scoperto, tra la gente e la propria comunità, attraverso il frutto importante della creatività e della storia del nostro territorio, che altrimenti rischierebbe di essere dimenticato”.
