In merito al mancato rinnovo della convenzione dell’Ausl sud-est con l’Azienda Ospedaliera di Careggi per il servizio di traumatologia dello sport, l’Amministrazione Comunale di Sansepolcro intende precisare che tale decisione non intende assolutamente annullare quel servizio che, in passato si è avvalso, per l’Ospedale di zona della Valtiberina, della preziosa opera del dottor Fabrizio Matassi.
Semmai, come garantiscono i vertici dell’Azienda sanitaria, quel servizio sarà rafforzato e reso più stabile, implementando così l’attività di ortopedia. E’ bene ricordare che la convenzione con Careggi prevedeve solo due accessi mensili alle sale operatorie e ambulatori da parte di specialisti di Careggi, mentre oggi l’Azienda Sanitaria intende conferire un incarico di alta specializzazione nell’ambito della chirurgia ortopedica che potrà garantire al nostro ospedale e, in generale, alla rete ospedaliera aretina, un servizio strutturato e completo. L’Amministrazione comunale continuerà a seguire e sollecitare l’Azienda sanitaria nelle procedure necessarie per raggiungere, speriamo in tempi veramente brevi, un traguardo molto importante per i servizi sanitari dell’intera Valtiberina.
