Una strategia del terrore che apparve da subito come una vera e propria dichiarazione di guerra all’America e a tutto il mondo occidentale. A ripercorrere il film di quei momenti e di quelle ore così drammatiche, non si può non partire dalle 8 e 46 ora locale, quando in Italia erano le 14 e 45: un aereo in quel preciso istante si era schiantato contro una delle torri gemelle del World Trade Center a New York. Alle 8,50 la prima autopompa dei Vigili del Fuoco era già sul posto: saliranno per dare soccorso, ma moriranno tutti, poco tempo dopo.
