Mercoledì 12 ottobre la Città di Sansepolcro rende omaggio a Piero della Francesca nel 530esimo anniversario dalla sua morte. “Piero, perché ci piace?” è il titolo della conferenza che terrà il Professor Frank Dabell, storico dell’arte e appassionato del grande maestro del Rinascimento, nella suggestiva sala della Resurrezione del Museo Civico di Sansepolcro alle ore 17.30.
L’occasione consentirà di conoscere meglio il genio di Piero della Francesca attraverso l’analisi di uno dei suoi maggiori studiosi e di godere, al contempo, delle opere che lo stesso ha realizzato nella sua Città natale, dove sono tutt’oggi conservate. Coordinatore del progetto è il Prof. HENRY Thomas Fitzgerald Kennedy, noto storico dell’arte. Il programma delle celebrazioni prevede, inoltre, l’apertura alle visite della Casa di Piero a partire dalle ore 16.00, con la Società Balestrieri di Sansepolcro e l’esibizione del Gruppo Sbandieratori di Sansepolcro.
