AREZZO – Pensiamo a corse gratuite in corrispondenza del weekend per liberare la città da volumi di circolazione e inquinamento insostenibili Parliamo di bus? Ma stavolta voglio essere magnanimo e non tornare sullo tsunami che ha coinvolto l’amministrazione comunale a seguito dei nuovi orari, delle nuove corse e della riorganizzazione del servizio. Se è vero che le responsabilità del disastro vanno ripartite, è altrettanto vero che il Comune di Arezzo si è voluto intestare quell’operazione. E dunque è giusto che i suoi risvolti pratici lo abbiano travolto.
Ma, ripeto, passiamo oltre: visto che l’amministrazione comunale si occupa volentieri del settore, lo faccia anche adesso e magari con migliori risultati. In questi giorni in cui inizia il periodo dello shopping natalizio, cè un grande incremento di traffico automobilistico a cui fanno da contraltare autobus che vediamo transitare sistematicamente vuoti. Nel senso letterale del termine di zero passeggeri. Anche di sabato e domenica quando più grande è l’afflusso per la Città del Natale. A parte il sabato mattina in funzione delle poche scuole che fanno attività didattica. E allora perché non ricercare un sistema per incentivare, almeno nel periodo natalizio, il trasporto pubblico per diminuire il carico complessivo della circolazione veicolare privata? Il Comune, daltronde, in sinergia con Atam, nelle stesse settimane ha introdotto fattispecie di gratuità per i parcheggi: perché non impostare analoga soluzione per gli autobus? Non si tratta daltronde di una stessa logica che procede dall’interlocuzione con un’azienda di riferimento?
Nel pomeriggio di sabato e domenica, ad esempio, potrebbe essere introdotto il trasporto gratuito generalizzato per raggiungere il centro. E per tornare a casa. Dal punto di vista economico, non credo sarebbe un grande onere: non so quantificare il ricavato di Autolinee Toscane nelle fasce orarie suddette ma a vedere, ribadisco, le presenze negli autobus direi che è poca cosa.
Insomma, perché non mettersi attorno a un tavolo e trovare una collaborazione tra Comune e azienda dei trasporti? È quasi inutile enumerare i vantaggi ma già che ci sono meno traffico, code, ritardi, inquinamento, più risparmio energetico.
E poi sarebbe il momento di aprire un capitolo nuovo nel trasporto pubblico locale, iniziando un percorso di riflessione per promuoverne luso in maniera sistematica e durante tutto l’anno
