Il sindaco Ghinelli: “Azioni e aiuti concreti per l’Ucraina” E’ arrivato a Sambir il generatore donato dal Comune di Arezzo alla città ucraina. L’Amministrazione ha risposto alla campagna promossa dal Parlamento europeo e da Eurocities per l’invio di generatori e trasformatori di corrente destinati a mantenere in funzione le strutture essenziali del paese in guerra, fornendo energia a ospedali, scuole, impianti di approviggionamento idrico, centri di soccorso, rifugi ed altro ancora.
La guerra e i continui attacchi russi alle infrastrutture civili ucraine ha provocato distruzioni e danneggiamenti lasciando più di dieci milioni di persone senza elettricità. Il Comune di Arezzo ha risposto immediatamente all’appello della campagna Generators of Hope che ha avuto inizio il 23 novembre scorso. “Ci siamo immediatamente resi disponibili a provvedere all’acquisto e all’invio di un generatore a Sambir, e ci siamo riusciti in tempi brevi grazie anche alla collaborazione della città di Oswiecim con noi gemellata. Rimaniamo vicini alla popolazione ucraina martoriata dalla guerra con azioni concrete di sostegno e con la solidarietà che contraddistingue la nostra città. All’acquisto del generatore per Sambir ha contribuito anche la Fondazione Guido d’Arezzo, un atto concreto ma anche simbolico che confida nella cultura quale strumento di pace”, ha dichiarato il sindaco Ghinelli.
