PROVINCIA DI AREZZO – LE INIZIATIVE NEL TERRITORIO PROVINCIALEIn occasione della Giornata internazionale dei diritti della donna, il Presidente della Provincia di Arezzo Alessandro Polcri, ha presentato le molteplici iniziative che si svolgeranno in tutto il territorio provinciale. Presenti presso la Sala dei Grandi, Cinzia Santoni Consigliere Provinciale, Gabriella Cecchi Consigliera di Parità, e gli organizzatori degli eventi dai Comuni, Associazioni, Istituzioni scolastiche, sindacati e cooperative
Il Presidente della Provincia di Arezzo, Alessandro Polcri dichiara:
“Sarà un mese di marzo ricco di iniziative culturali, sociali, teatrali con lo scopo di coinvolgere la cittadinanzasu specifici temi legati al mondo e al ruolo femminile,per ribadire la condanna ferma e decisa di ogni forma di discriminazione e di violenza, fisica e morale. Ringrazio per l’impegno per aver realizzato questo cartellone di iniziative e per fare rete, la Provincia si è messa a disposizione per raccoglierle tutte in una brochure, per sensibilizzare e riflettere sulle condizioni di lavoro delle donne, dove ancora le diseguaglianze di genere sono tutt’ora presenti. Ritengo al contempo che sia giusto, anche rivendicare i progressi raggiunti, i molti ordinari atti di coraggio ed il ruolo straordinario che tante donne hanno avuto nello storia. La Giornata Internazionale della Donna celebra infatti le conquiste in ambito economico, politico e culturale, per essere protagoniste insieme agli uomini nella società. La parità di genere è un principio universale che prescinde dalle divisioni etniche, e c’è ancora molto da fare e da lavorare per abbattere i pregiudizi sul mondo femminile. La figura femminile viene ancora troppo spesso rappresentata con caratteristiche inadeguate, discriminanti e non rispettose dei nuovi ruoli assunti nella società. La Provincia di Arezzo, ormai da molti anni, è in prima linea nella realizzazione di politiche mirate alla parità di genere, oltre nella lotta contro la violenza sulle donne, attivate in collaborazione con Enti Locali e Associazione del territorio. L’ 8 marzo non deve essere solo una ricorrenza, ma sia invece motivo per avviare buone pratiche a sostegno della donna per il suo rispetto per l’affermazione dei diritti e nel contrasto alla violenza in tutte le sue forme. Non si tratta di imporre un trattamento di riguardo verso le donne o di privilegiarle in determinati campi o ruoli, ma creare l’opportunità per fare emergere le loro potenzialità, il serbatoio di competenze e di professionalità in loro possesso, perchè solo così tutti insieme possiamo contribuire alla crescita e al rilancio del nostro Paese.” Tutte le iniziative in calendario sono consultabili anche sul sito istituzionale www.provincia.arezzo.it
