Tratto da Il romanzo del Sentire – Da Atlantide a noi di Stefania Porrino lo spettacolo è andato in scena per la prima volta dal 20 febbraio fino al 1° marzo del 2020.
Il 3 marzo i teatri chiudevano causa covid: il “mutamento” che ha segnato la vita di noi tutti per tre anni. Oggi la Compagnia del Mutamento invita il pubblico a rileggerne la storia: Il Mutamento, tema centrale dello spettacolo, è davvero arrivato, improvviso e inaspettato, e le parole scritte e dette allora appaiono oggi come un profetico annuncio di ciò che stava per succedere e che l’Autrice “sentiva” senza poter sapere. Attraverso un esercizio di “reviviscenza”, gli attori danno vita a una successione di momenti storici in cui sono avvenuti i più importanti cambiamenti dell’umanità: dalla leggendaria fine di Atlantide all’avvento del Cristianesimo, dal pensiero libertario di Tommaso Campanella alla rivoluzione francese e a quella femminista, per arrivare all’unica vera rivoluzione, quella interiore, con un episodio ambientato ai nostri giorni, incentrato sullo smascheramento del falso altruismo e la ricerca di un’autentica capacità di amare. Ambientato in uno spazio vuoto, lo spettacolo consiste in una sorta di psicodramma proposto a quattro pazienti-attori da una psicoterapeuta con aspirazioni teatrali. Un unico, lungo viaggio nel tempo dall’epoca della mitica Atlantide a una futura ipotetica civiltà interstellare. Ad ognuno dei sette quadri cambia il mezzo di trasporto: una nave, una carruca dormitoria, un carro, una carrozza, un treno, un aereo e un’astronave per partire dalla preistoria e attraversare l’impero romano, l’epoca della controriforma, la rivoluzione francese, la rivoluzione femminista di fine ottocento, il nostro presente, fino a proiettarci in un’utopica era del futuro. Parallelamente al viaggio nella storia, attraverso il meccanismo del “teatro nel teatro”, si svolge il viaggio nell’inconscio dei pazienti-attori, anch’essi impegnati a superare le proprie resistenze al nuovo. Passato e presente dialogano tra loro in un gioco di rispecchiamenti tra personaggi attuali e personaggi storici nonché tra personaggi attuali e gli interpreti dello spettacolo per i quali è stato scritto il testo “utilizzandone” tratti di carattere reali – rielaborati però attraverso le inevitabili proiezioni dell’autrice e le sue esigenze drammaturgiche. Allo spettatore che seguirà i pazienti-attori nelle loro molteplici immedesimazioni verrà offerta la possibilità di compiere una meditazione sul tema del mutamento e delle resistenze psicologiche che possono scatenarsi in opposizione ad ogni tipo di cambiamento: politico, sociale o interiore.

Per riflettere su questo affannato rincorrere il nuovo e cercare di capire la paura che ne deriva, mi è sembrato utile scrivere e mettere in scena uno spettacolo sul tema del mutamento – storico, sociale ma soprattutto psicologico – e delle resistenze che ogni cambiamento inevitabilmente suscita in chi non è pronto a modificare la propria concezione del mondo.” Stefania Porrino
