Per anni punto di riferimento agli “orti dei pensionati” il suo hobby a cui teneva moltissimo
E’ scomparso oggi, circondato dagli affetti più cari, Settimio Caselli, 89 anni, conosciuto in città e non solo, per la sua attività di “maestro” artigiano edile, apprezzato da tutti per la sua bontà d’animo e predisposizione verso gli altri e la sua città che amava tanto nella storia e tradizioni più sentite. Ha lasciato il segno raffinato ed indelebile nelle imprese edili dove ha lavorato con grande passione, capacità e cura dei particolari. Un vero e proprio maestro della muratura e carpenteria, attività che gli è valsa anche un riconoscimento con tanto di targa ufficiale da parte della “cassa edile” di Perugia prima della meritata pensione e prima di dedicarsi alla coltivazione di ortaggi e verdure per hobby, nello spazio che il comune di Città di Castello da decenni riserva ai “pensionati” col “pollice verde” negli appezzamenti di terreno nel quartiere Madonna del Latte, fino a diventarne un vero e proprio punto di riferimento. Settimio Caselli ha vissuto a lungo nel quartiere San Giacomo ed è sempre stato in prima linea nel vivere e rivendicare con orgoglio e senso di appartenenza le manifestazioni simbolo della storia e delle tradizioni popolari come la “Pasquella” e tante altre. Lascia l’amata moglie Maria Flamini, originaria di Apecchio, con cui ha condiviso quasi settanta anni di vita insieme (si sono sposati nel Febbraio del ’56 nella piccola chiesa di Fraccano in un sabato memorabile con le strade ed il paesaggio coperto di neve), le figlie Gabriela, Nadia e Giuseppina, i nipoti, Emilia, Giulia, Chiara e Piergiorgio, la sorella Alda e parenti del versante umbro e marchigiano. I funerali, che verranno celebrati da Don Antonio Ferrini, si svolgeranno, domani, venerdi 28 Aprile alle ore 15 presso la chiesa Santa Veronica nel quartiere La Tina. Alla famiglia sono giunte le più sentite condoglianze del sindaco della giunta ed il “ricordo vivo di un tifernate benvoluto da tutti che lascia un segno indelebile nella comunità locale”.
