MONTEVARCHI – Il Partito Democratico di Montevarchi in data 27.04.2023 ha presentato una mozione che mirava ad impegnare il Sindaco al rispetto della normativanazionale di porre a dimora un albero per ogni bambino nato e iscritto all’anagrafe del Comune di Montevarchi, la mozione è stata bocciata dalla maggioranza nella seduta.
Oltre a questo, il Sindaco ha dichiarato in Consiglio comunale e a mezzostampa di aver ottemperato alla norma, avendo abbattuto perché malati solo 7piante durante il suo operato. i fronte a tali numeri non possiamo tacere. A nostra memoria e a quella dei numerosi cittadini che ci riportano quotidianamente problematiche ambientali contiamo circa 165 piante
abbatutte, cadute per mancanza di manutenzione o morte per mancanza di
acqua. In molti punti della città: piazza della Repubblica, via Podgora, Levane,
Levanella, parco Regina Margherita, zona stadio , Pestello, Giglio, per dirne
alcuni. Soltanto aver venduto i giardini Spinelli ha contato l’abbattimento di ben 43
piante, fra alberi e arbusti. Forse quelli non rientrano nel conteggio perché
abbatutte dai proprietari del Supermercato che è sorto al posto del giardino?
Ci vogliono dire che la variazione di destinazione di uso da area verde ad area
adibita a Supermercato è stata fatta da altri? È importante ricordare proprio a questa amministrazione che spesso non risponde ai problemi del presente chiamando in causa il passato che sono
loro ad oggi che hanno la responsabilità anche del futuro e di cosa lasciare alle prossime generazioni. Cosa che potevano fare approvando la nostra mozione riguardo l’applicazione della normativa nazionale della messa adimora di un albero per ogni nato. Mozione bocciata solo ed esclusivamenteperché proveniente da una parte politica, la nostra. Nel prossimo consiglio torneremo sul tema, non solo per avere un chiarimento ma perché teniamo alla nostra città e al suo futuro.
