Comune di Lucignano – L’edizione 2023 è stata presentata nel Media Center Sassoli di palazzo del Pegaso dal presidente del Consiglio regionale Antonio Mazzeo, dalla consigliera regionale Lucia De Robertis, dal sindaco di Lucignano Roberta Casini; l’assessore alla Comunicazione e promozione turistica Stefano Cresti e il rappresentante dell’associazione Maggiolata Guido Perugini
La Maggiolata è la festa dei fiori di Lucignano. L’omaggio di una comunità all’arrivo della primavera. La Maggiolata è una festa popolare che si svolge ogni anno in un contesto meraviglioso e unico: uno dei Borghi più belli d’Italia, quello medievale a forma ellittica di Lucignano. Un’occasione speciale per conoscere ed apprezzare la bellezza del luogo, terra di incanti e di magiche atmosfere e allo stesso tempo assistere ad un evento di rara bellezza. Nei giorni della Maggiolata le strade del paese, gli stretti e caratteristici vicoli, i balconi e gli archi di questo luogo speciale, vengono ricoperti con composizioni floreali. Una sfilata di carri allegorici, completamente fioriti, accompagnati da bande musicali e gruppi folcloristici provenienti da ogni parte d’Italia e anche dall’estero, percorre l’intero anello delle vie del paese. Un corteo storico precede e annuncia l’inizio della festa. I rioni si contendono gioiosamente il premio per la realizzazione del carro più bello. L’edizione 2023 si terrà nei giorni 21 maggio, 23 maggio (notturna), 28 maggio e 1 giugno (notturna).La manifestazione è stata presentata durante una conferenza stampa nel Media Center Sassoli di palazzo del Pegaso dal presidente del Consiglio regionale Antonio Mazzeo, dalla consigliera regionale Lucia De Robertis, con loro il sindaco di Lucignano Roberta Casini; l’assessore alla Comunicazione e promozione turistica Stefano Cresti e il rappresentate dell’associazione Maggiolata Guido Perugini. “Siamo arrivati alla 84^ edizione della Maggiolata, un inno alla primavera e ai colori – ha detto Antonio Mazzeo presidente del Consiglio regionale – che riesce a far bella la nostra regione. Grazie a tutti coloro che con il loro impegno riescono a portare avanti questa importante iniziativa e a renderla ogni anno più bella, durante questi giorni arriveranno migliaia di turisti ad ammirare le bellezze di questi luoghi”. “Vorrei ringraziare il Presidente Mazzeo per l’ospitalità e il comune di Lucignano che ha organizzato in modo mirabile questa festa della primavera – ha aggiunto la consigliera regionale Lucia De Robertis – che permette di ritornare a vivere esperienze uniche e stare insieme dopo gli anni della pandemia. Una festa di colori e suoni che segna il ritorno alla vita e all’amore”. “Grazie al presidente Mazzeo, invitato ufficialmente alla Maggiolata Lucignanese, per l’ospitalità ed il supporto istituzionale”, ha detto il sindaco Roberta Casini. “Riprendiamo quest’anno – ha aggiunto – la tradizione del premio Grifo d’oro, che verrà assegnato al rione che presenterà il carro più bello e più pertinente con il tema scelto per questa edizione, che è scene del settecento. Torna ad animarsi il nostro borgo, capace di attirare turisti da tutta Italia e dall’estero, grazie ai tanti volontari impegnati per le quattro sfilate in programma. Rivolgo uno speciale ringraziamento al Presidente Eugenio Giani, sempre attento alle nostre migliori tradizioni e particolarmente sensibile rispetto alla promozione del territorio”. “Una festa – ha detto Guido Perugini dell’associazione Maggiolata – che coinvolge l’intera comunità nella preparazione di quattro carri allegorici ricoperti di fiori, arricchita dalla presenza di gruppi folkloristici e bande musicali provenienti da tutte le parti d’Italia. La loro colonna sonora accompagnerà la bellezza dei fiori scelti per addobbare i carri”. “Un richiamo – ha detto Stefano Cresti assessore al turismo del comune – al settecento e alla storia, dopo la contemporaneità dell’opera scultorea di Jeff Koons che era al centro dell’edizione dello scorso anno. La realizzazione di questi grandi carri, che avviene da gennaio a maggio, rappresenta un momento di grande vitalità creativa, un richiamo alla cultura e all’originalità di questa festa popolare, tra le più importanti della Toscana ”.
