Alle ore 21 al Chiostro del Complesso di San Francesco si esibirà infatti il quartetto Manomanouche: Nunzio Barbieri e Luca Enipeo alle chitarre acustiche, Pierre Steeve Jino Touche al contrabbasso e Francesco Django Barbieri al clarinetto
Crossroads 2023 è organizzato da Jazz Network in collaborazione con l’Assessorato alla Cultura della Regione Emilia-Romagna e con il sostegno del Ministero della Cultura e di numerose altre istituzioni. Il festival vanta il patrocinio di ANCI Emilia-Romagna e di SIAE. Il concerto è realizzato in collaborazione con l’Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di Bagnacavallo e l’Antico Convento San Francesco di Bagnacavallo. Biglietti: prezzo intero euro 15; ridotto 13. A partire dal 2001 i Manomanouche si dedicano alla celebrazione della musica zigana dall’inconfondibile scorrevolezza melodica e i ritmi sincopati e ‘rubati’: lo stile manouche, appunto. Con il nume del jazz gitano, Django Reinhardt, a fare da inesauribile fonte di ispirazione, i Manomanouche si sono ormai da tempo imposti come una delle formazioni di riferimento per questo affascinante repertorio che profuma di musica francese anni Trenta, con i suoi valzer, i motivi di musette, i passi di danza gitani e una spruzzata di jazz. L’autorevolezza dimostrata dai Manomanouche fa sì che i loro concerti siano tutt’altro che un’operazione nostalgica in omaggio a Reinhardt: la vivacità dei nuovi arrangiamenti preparati sulla base dei temi di Django, la capacità di inserirvi un tocco di cantabilità italiana, la selezione di altri autori per arricchire il repertorio, l’aggiunta di composizioni originali della band creano un emozionante rinnovamento della tradizione swing-zigana. Nelle scelte timbriche e strumentali del quartetto si apprezzano al contempo la fedeltà ai modelli storici e un sapiente adattamento ai tempi moderni. Nei Manomanouche sono confluiti musicisti di varia formazione. Nunzio Barbieri, Luca Enipeo e Pierre Steeve Jino Touche sono particolarmente noti in quanto collaboratori di lunga data di Paolo Conte. Nel corso degli anni il gruppo si è aperto alla collaborazione con artisti anche di diversa estrazione stilistica.
