Premi d’onore a Ivana Ciabatti, Francesco Giorgino e Carlo Motta Sabato 22 e domenica 23 luglio 2023 la Badia di San Fedele, a Poppi (AR), ospita la 48° edizione del Premio Casentino, storico concorso che ogni anno rinnova la passione per la letteratura nel magico scenario del borgo casentinese
Due le giornate che vedranno sfilare nell’antica abbazia poppese scrittori, poeti, letterati e giornalisti da tutta Italia. La cerimonia di consegna dei premi per i testi inediti si terrà sabato 22 luglio alle ore 16,30, i riconoscimenti per i testi editi e i premi d’onore saranno consegnati domenica 23 luglio alle ore 10,30. Le opere inedite classificatesi al primo posto avranno diritto alla pubblicazione. Tutti i premiati riceveranno medaglie artistiche, diplomi in pergamena e opere grafiche realizzate dagli apprezzati maestri italiani Vitaliano Angelini, Mauro Capitani, Alessandro Nastasio e Giorgio Peduzzi. Tra i premiati del 2023, nella sezione “saggistica edita”, anche i giornalisti e scrittori Sara Lucaroni e Andrea Scanzi. Il premio d’onore per l’imprenditoria sarà assegnato a Ivana Ciabatti, fondatrice della società Italpreziosi, il premio d’onore per la medicina a Francesco Giorgino, medico e professore ordinario di Endocrinologia e Malattie metaboliche all’Università di Bari, il premio d’onore per l’arte a Carlo Motta, responsabile editoriale del “Catalogo dell’Arte Moderna” Giorgio Mondadori. A consegnare i premi a Ivana Ciabatti e Carlo Motta sarà l’artista Mauro Capitani, recentemente insignito del premio alla carriera nell’ambito del 66° Festival dei Due Mondi di Spoleto e della Biennale di Architettura di Venezia. Il maestro toscano è attualmente impegnato nella Fondazione Mauro e Nuccia Capitani E.T.S., partner del concorso letterario, che ha l’obiettivo di tutelare il patrimonio artistico della famiglia e di ricordare il valore dei grandi pittori del Novecento che rischiano di essere dimenticati. Il noto artista urbinate Vitaliano Angelini consegnerà invece il premio a Francesco Giorgino. Il Premio Casentino fu istituito negli anni Quaranta del secolo scorso da personalità come Carlo Emilio Gadda, Nicola Lisi e Carlo Coccioli. Interrotto nel periodo bellico, fu poi riproposto negli anni Settanta per volontà del presidente del Centro Michelangelo Silvio Miano. Oggi il premio è promosso dal Centro culturale “Fonte Aretusa” presieduto da Maria Eugenia Miano, che continua nel solco della tradizione, rinnovandola e attualizzandola. Per i testi inediti, ad esempio, oltre alle storiche sezioni di narrativa, saggistica e poesia, sono presenti quelle dedicate a cinema e teatro, la sezione “Amica foresta” rivolta all’ambiente e infine, novità del 2023, la sezione “Emma Perodi” dedicata alla letteratura per l’infanzia e l’adolescenza. Il Premio Casentino, presieduto dal professor Paolo Brunetti dell’Università di Perugia, si avvale di giurie tecniche di prestigio e vanta il patrocinio del Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi Monte Falterona e Campigna, del Comune di Poppi, della Compagnia di San Torello, del Centro Creativo Casentino, del Parco Letterario Emma Perodi e Foreste Casentinesi e della Fondazione Mauro e Nuccia Capitani E.T.S.
