Il sindaco Luca Secondi e l’assessore allo Sport Riccardo Carletti ringraziano la Provincia di Perugia per aver stanziato i fondi necessari alla manutenzione straordinaria nel bilancio di previsione 2023-2025. Nei prossimi giorni inizierà la progettazione dei lavori La Provincia di Perugia investirà 200 mila euro per il restyling della pista di atletica Angiolo Monti di Città di Castello.
“Un intervento molto atteso che va a riconoscere e valorizzare l’importante attività sportiva che caratterizza la pista di atletica tifernate, dove si allenano quotidianamente centinaia di giovani e nella quale continuano a fiorire talenti sulle orme di Giovanni Faloci, pluricampione italiano di lancio del peso e olimpionico a Tokyo da tanti anni di casa nell’impianto”, sottolineano con soddisfazione il sindaco Luca Secondi e l’assessore allo Sport Riccardo Carletti alla notizia che il Servizio Gestione e Manutenzione Edilizia e Beni Patrimoniali della Provincia di Perugia avvierà nei prossimi giorni la progettazione dell’intervento, che è stato finanziato nel bilancio di previsione 2023-2025 dell’ente. “Ringraziamo la presidente Stefania Proietti, la consigliera con delega al Patrimonio Letizia Michelini e tutto il consiglio provinciale, tra cui in particolare il tifernate Filippo Schiattelli che aveva presentato una mozione votata all’unanimità, per il gesto di attenzione davvero significativo con cui hanno accolto le richieste della nostra amministrazione comunale”, continuano Secondi e Carletti, nel rivolgere al dirigente del Servizio Gestione e Manutenzione Edilizia e Beni Patrimoniali della Provincia di Perugia Andrea Moretti, fino a pochi mesi fa dirigente presso il Comune tifernate, i migliori auspici per il lavoro al quale sarà chiamato insieme alla propria struttura tecnica. “Tra le tante le esigenze alle quali la Provincia di Perugia dà costantemente risposta con una programmazione che tiene conto delle priorità di intervento in tutto il territorio di competenza – sottolinea la consigliera Michelini – era doveroso pensare alla pista di atletica Angiolo Monti con un investimento adeguato, che testimoniasse l’attenzione con cui l’ente guarda alla promozione dello sport, ma riconoscesse anche nella giusta maniera l’impegno su questo versante dell’amministrazione comunale di Città di Castello e la qualità del lavoro rivolto ai giovani che viene portato avanti nell’impianto”. Delle necessità di manutenzione dell’impianto si era occupato all’inizio dell’anno anche il consiglio comunale di Città di Castello con la discussione dell’interrogazione presentata dal capogruppo della Lega Valerio Mancini, al quale l’assessore Carletti aveva rinnovato l’impegno della giunta a valorizzare l’attività sportiva effettuata nella struttura. Con i 200 mila euro stanziati dalla Provincia di Perugia, saranno effettuati lavori di ripristino e funzionalizzazione delle attrezzature stabili, ma anche interventi finalizzati a migliorare il tappetino di rivestimento della pista e gli spogliatoi. “L’obiettivo – puntualizza Michelini – è di contribuire ad una fruizione ancora maggiore della pista, attraverso il potenziamento delle attrezzature e dei servizi destinati all’ampia utenza che vanta l’impianto”. Le operazioni preliminari funzionali alla progettazione dell’intervento sono già state svolte nei giorni scorsi dai tecnici del Servizio Gestione e Manutenzione Edilizia e Beni Patrimoniali della Provincia di Perugia. Realizzata dalla Provincia di Perugia sul terreno di proprietà del Comune di Città di Castello grazie alla concessione del diritto di superficie per 50 anni stipulata nell’aprile del 1996, la pista di atletica Angiolo Monti è stata concessa in uso all’amministrazione tifernate con una convenzione nel 1999. L’atto ha stabilito che l’onere della manutenzione straordinaria dell’impianto sia interamente a carico della Provincia di Perugia, con il Comune che è tenuto a garantire la pulizia, la custodia e la sorveglianza.
