Continua il momento d’oro del Canoa Club di Città di Castello che dopo la convocazione in Nazionale del giovane Edoardo Collesi, che ha indossato la maglia azzura a inizio luglio in occasione del Mondiale svoltosi nella Repubblica Ceca, vede ora un altro atleta del Club, il giovanissimo Leonardo Pierangeli, ottenere la sua prima convocazione per il raduno giovanile che si svolgerà a Valstagna, in Trentino, sul fiume Brenta.
In occasione del Campionato Italiano Master svoltosi lo scorso fine settimana a Pescantina, in provincia di Verona, sul fiume Adige Leonardo, classe 2010, da 4 anni nel Canoa Club di Città di Castello, ha riportato un oro meritatissimo nella specialità Canadese C1, e grazie a questo primo posto si è visto chiamare dal tecnico federale, Giovanni Saperdi, per il Raduno Giovanile a Valstagna alla volta del quale il giovane atleta è partito nella stessa giornata di domenica 30 luglio. Sempre in occasione del Campionato Italiano Master, importanti prestazioni sono state sostenute dagli altri atleti della squadra tifernate Gabriele Tribbioli e Davide Loschi (primi classificati nella specialità Canadese C2 e secondi nella specialità K1 a squadre) e Mathias Spelli, al suo debutto con la maglia rossa del Club di Città di Castello. Grande entusiasmo nel Canoa Club che ha sede nel Rione Prato dove lo stesso Leonardo risiede assieme alla famiglia e che si stringe orgoglioso attorno al suo atleta, esprimendo parole di plauso e soddisfazione per questo ennesimo traguardo, a partire dal Presidente, Nicola Landi, all’allenatore Massimo Spelli e a tutti gli altri dirigenti societari.
