Arezzo, conferenza con Carlo Falciani, Accademia delle Belle Arti di Firenze – Mercoledì 25 ottobre, alle ore 17:30, si terrà alla Casa Museo Bruschi, parte del patrimonio di Intesa Sanpaolo, la conferenza “Pontormo e il cardinale Giulio de’Medici” con l’intervento di Carlo Falciani, storico dell’arte, professore nell’Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze. Introduce Carlo Sisi, Conservatore della Casa Museo Ivan Bruschi.
Il Ritratto di Giulio de’ Medici inserito nel nuovo percorso museale inauguratolo scorso 29 giugno era entrato a Casa Bruschi con altri undici dipinti di pittori quali Allori, Bugiardini, Fattori, Lega, Signorini, Nomellini, Spadini che si erano aggiunti a loro volta a 40 opere già concesse in comodato da Intesa Sanpaolo alla Fondazione Bruschi, andando a definire una quadreria in perfetta armonia con l’eclettica collezione del noto antiquario aretino. “La presenza al museo di uno dei più accreditati studiosi del Manierismo toscano, non solo contribuisce a chiarire l’ipotesi attributiva del ritratto di Giulio de’Medici, ma costituisce anche una preziosa occasione per ripercorrere le vicende di un’epoca che segnò una decisiva rivoluzione nell’arte italiana ed europea, grazie anche alle audaci sperimentazioni di Pontormo e di Rosso Fiorentino” segnala Carlo Sisi. La lectio magistralis del professor Carlo Falciani permetterà di conoscere la storia del dipinto, aneddoti sul suo pittore e segreti sul soggetto ritratto – “la riscoperta del Ritratto di Giulio de’ Medici del Pontormo fra il 1535 e il 1536, ricordato da Giorgio Vasari e dipinto per il Rossino muratore ma fino ad oggi non identificato, permette una riflessione sull’attività matura del pittore, che durante il governo di Alessandro de’ Medici abbandona la maniera tedesca per abbracciare un nuovo stile ispirato a Michelangelo” – dichiara Carlo Falciani. “Il dipinto permette anche di comprendere uno degli aneddoti vasariani intorno alla capacità dell’artista di lavorare per committenze diverse nella Firenze del ritrovato potere tirannico di Alessandro de’Medici” – prosegue Falciani – “e diventa una delle poche tavole degli anni della maturità del pittore impegnato in decorazioni murali – tutte perdute – nelle ville di Castello e Careggi e poi nel coro della basilica fiorentina di San Lorenzo. Un’opera importantissima anche al fine di ricostruire una più precisa cronologia pontormesca.” La conferenza di mercoledì 25 ottobre inaugura la rassegna “Ottobrì”, aperta al pubblico gratuitamente, dedicata alla cultura, all’editoria e agli amanti della lettura, che quest’anno mette in calendario una serie di eventi tra loro eterogenei, per generi e per argomenti.
