La 43esima edizione della storica manifestazione, fondata il 28 Novembre 1980, ha segnato un cambiamento epocale nell’immagine, nella promozione e soprattutto nei contenuti di una rassegna divenuta punto di riferimento del settore agro-alimentare a livello internazionale. Il Salone che si è svolto dal 1 al 5 novembre nel centro storico, ha portato in città migliaia di visitatori sia tra i tifernati che tra le persone provenienti da fuori regione, nonostante il maltempo abbia accompagnato la maggior parte delle giornate. Sia gli stand gastronomici dedicati alla vendita della trifola in Piazza Matteotti, sia quelli riservati ai venditori a km zero in Piazza Gabriotti, hanno saputo attirare migliaia di cittadini e visitatori desiderosi di degustare e scoprire la qualità dei diversi prodotti. “Con il Salone del Tartufo Bianco Pregiato ci siamo attestati al livello nazionale che spetta a un territorio come quello di Città di Castello, e questo lo si deve a tutti gli attori protagonisti della filiera del tartufo, agli espositori, ai produttori fino ovviamente ai cavatori che con i loro straordinari cani rappresentano una eccellenza secolare del nostro territorio”, ha affermato l’assessore al commercio e turismo Letizia Guerri, questa mattina nel corso della consegna di due targhe all’associazione Tartufai Altotevere, rappresentati dal Presidente, Andrea Canuti e dal segretario, Italo Bianchini e al professor Lorenzo Tanzi, esperto divulgatore del mondo che ruota attorno alla cava del tartufo, autore di numerose pubblicazioni di successo. “I tartufai e i loro straordinari cani, razze impareggiabili – concludono – ha detto l’assessore – sono protagonisti assieme ad altri di questo importante settore agro-alimentare che contribuisce ad elevare immagine e promozione del nostro territorio anche attraverso un’attività, quella del tartufaio, propria della nostra storia e delle nostre tradizioni”, preannunciando iniziative future di divulgazione nelle scuole attraverso progetti che verranno messi a punto coinvolgendo le scuole stesse, i tartufai, le istituzioni e tutti i soggetti che fanno parte della filiera. “La nostra ambizione è di proseguire sulla strada tracciata con l’obiettivo di valorizzare appieno le eccellenze del nostro territorio che fanno parte della filiera del tartufo, portando la trifola di Città di Castello sempre più alla ribalta nazionale e internazionale come elemento identitario del nostro territorio” ha concluso Guerri, ringraziando poi “tutti coloro che hanno contribuito al successo della manifestazione”. Nel ricevere la targa, Canuti, Bianchini e Tanzi hanno ringraziato l’assessore e per suo tramite il sindaco e la giunta tifernate per il gradito riconoscimento “che va esteso a tutti coloro che nell’ambito dell’associazione e con la propria attività hanno contribuito negli anni a definire una identità del tartufaio, secolare, che fa parte con orgoglio della nostra tradizione”.
