La passerella, pur essendo privata, da sempre è stata utilizzata dalla popolazione locale per i vari spostamenti pedonali e garantiva l’unico collegamento interno al paese che non fosse la S.R. 71.
Di conseguenza gli abitanti di Rigutino saranno costretti a compiere un percorso molto più lungo ma soprattutto molto più pericoloso in quanto la strada suddetta è caratterizzata da alta frequentazione veicolare ed è stata teatro di ripetuti e gravi sinistri registrati anche all’interno della frazione. Ad aggravare la situazione è l’esistenza di un solo marciapiede lungo la S.R. 71 in grado di ospitare il transito di passeggini, sedie a rotelle o deambulatori, pertanto per i cittadini con disabilità o con mobilità ridotta sarà necessario attraversarla ben due volte per raggiungere i luoghi che il ponte in questione collegava. Per questo ho chiesto al sindaco e all’assessore competente di attivarsi celermente al fine di mettere in atto tutte le misure necessarie, amministrative e tecniche, per realizzare in tempi certi una nuova passerella pedonale per consentire la mobilità interna al paese in piena sicurezza come richiesto dai residenti di Rigutino”.
