SANSEPOLCRO – È stato assegnato a Massimo Mercati il premio “Imprenditori per il bene comune”. Il riconoscimento è stato istituito da Cattolica Assicurazioni ed è destinato a quegli imprenditori che nel corso della loro attività si sono distinti per aver orientato le proprie aziende in “opere concrete che coniugano mercato e persona, sviluppo economico e sostenibilità ambientale, profitto e solidarietà”. Il premio è stato consegnato durante la XIII edizione del Festival della dottrina sociale che si è svolto a Verona alla fine di novembre.
Un’attestazione per Massimo Mercati e per il lavoro da lui svolto con Aboca e con il network di farmacie da lui fondate, Apoteca Natura, i cui presupposti sono stati ripresi e sviluppati nel suo libro “l’impresa come sistema vivente” . Questa la motivazione completa: “Il premio a Massimo Mercati è il riconoscimento all’imprenditore che con coerenza ed umiltà lavora per migliorare la salute dell’uomo e del pianeta. In piena continuità con l’intuizione originaria del padre, coglie la sfida della complessità dei sistemi viventi contribuendo al recupero del legame tra l’uomo e la natura. L’impresa diviene un’opera vivente che promuove e custodisce una rete di relazioni ricche di significato con mercato, ambiente e comunità” In questa edizione del Festival della Dottrina sociale di Verona, che è stata aperta dai messaggi di papa Francesco e del Presidente della Repubblica Sergio Mattarella, oltre a Massimo Mercati sono stare premiate altre 5 realtà imprenditoriali e del mondo no-profit.
