Auguri di Natale e buon anno senza dubbio originali quelli che provengono dal comune di Città di Castello attraverso un video di cittadini “speciali”, sette dei ventuno centenari tifernati, orgoglio della città e memoria storica della comunità locale. “Per augurare buon natale buon anno – precisa il sindaco Luca Secondi – abbiamo deciso questa volta di farlo con un breve video attraverso il saluto e la voce di persone, cittadine e cittadini a noi molto care che hanno raggiunto e talvolta superato il traguardo del secolo di vita. Sette dei nostri 21 centenari, hanno accettato di buon grado assieme alle rispettive famiglie di essere protagonisti di questo video di auguri. Loro che hanno dato tanto e tanto ci hanno trasmesso in termini di valori e ideali oggi sono qui a ribadire con orgoglio e senso di appartenenza gli aspetti della vita che contano davvero, quelli che sono alla base della nostra comunità unita e forte più che mai proprio in questo periodo che precede il Natale ed il nuovo anno, pronta ad affrontare le nuove sfide. Coesione e senso di comunità che ci daranno, ne sono sicuro, ancora la forza in futuro per affrontare le difficoltà e i problemi di ogni giorno, da quelli grandi a quelli di routine. Auguro a tutti felici festività nella prospettiva di un futuro che sia in grado di dare soddisfazione alle aspettative di ognuno”, ha concluso il sindaco Secondi nel video che prosegue poi con gli auguri “speciali” e affettuosi di sette ultracentenari della città, Ferdinando Tascini (100 anni, ex carabiniere, ultimo “carceriere” di Benito Mussolini a Campo Imperatore, testimone di fatti che hanno segnato la storia) Concetta Veschi (100 anni, tra le prime donne a dirigere un ufficio postale in Italia), Italo Benucci (100 anni, maestro dell’arte della tessitura a telaio), Giuditta Maria Mazzei (102 anni, simbolo di una grande famiglia), Pia Galeotti (100 anni, esperta maglierista), Annunziata Giambi (100 anni, al vertice di una famiglia “extra-large”, 7 figli, 11 nipoti e 10 pronipoti)e Giovanni Talamelli (100 anni maestro orologiaio dei record con oltre tremila riparazioni annue in 60 anni di attività nello storico laboratorio di famiglia). Con l’ultima neo-centenaria del 2023 il primato “rosa” degli over “100” si è rafforzato: su 21 che possono fregiarsi di questa età 15 sono le femmine e 6 i maschi. Primato “rosa” ben saldo anche nella terza età avanzata, nella fascia degli ultra 90enni, Una recente statistica fotografa che sul totale di 640 persone, ben 468 sono femmine (73%) e 172 maschi (27%).
